Cissie just gives him a little smile, one that's a bit wry and maybe a touch sad. "Tim, I didn't really have friends before we all met," she reminds him. Because of course that's the part that's bothering her about that memory; it's not really her mother, although she doesn't want to stop to think about that too hard right now.

Or the fact that she hasn't really exactly had many friends since Young Justice broke up.

She pokes out an elbow to lightly nudge him. "What about you, though? Seriously? Because that was... that was an important one."

He knew that, but hearing her say it reminds him of how bad he's been at keeping in touch over the past few years, and he can't help feeling a twinge of guilt. Sure, he's had a lot going on, but he could have been a much better friend.

Well. They're both here now, and maybe he can take the opportunity to do a better job at it this time.

He grimaces slightly. "I probably wouldn't have chosen to share that one with the class, no."

She gives him a sympathetic smile that turns into a bit of a smirk. "Tim, is there honestly any memory you would 'share with the class' like that?"

He considers that thoughtfully for a moment. "Hm. I think there have been occasions in my past where I have pet cats and there was almost no trauma at all. And breakfast this morning would have been fine."

Cissie gave an indelicate snort, shaking her head. "That's about what I thought. Seriously though. On a scale of one to ten, how pissed off are you?"

He shrugs a little, frowning. "Probably about an eight," he admits, and he doesn't even want to admit that much, but this is Cissie and she's known him longer than just about anyone here. Long enough to know that he's pissed, and not just feeling awkward because one of his most private memories has been made public.

Cissie nods, and for the moment, lets the matter go. She's pleased that he actually answered her, rather than continuing to hedge or dodge, and it's a good feeling. There's also nothing she can actually do to stop it from happening, anymore than there is anything he could do... which she knows must bother him almost as much as having his memories displayed for strangers.

"You know... I'm sorry you're here, but--I am also really glad you're here with me. It makes this place suck a little bit less."
