"I'd prefer if you didn't." There was a hint of dry humour there, then, Reyes relaxing enough to crack a rueful smile. "Although many people would have." A beat while he considered, then finally added: "You're one of Nomura's friends, aren't you? Sorry to meet you in-- these circumstances. I'm Reyes."

He didn't let on how much he's managed to gather about the other boy's childhood and special training, but there was, perhaps, a correlation there, in Reyes being a bit more welcoming in his introduction than he otherwise might've been. A kind of hopeful expectation, that the two SeeD might be alike.

"Good, 'cause I don't think I'm about to." He smirked back wryly. As for the next point he just offers a vague shrug. Of course they would. It's easy to find the 'high road' so to speak when you're on the outside looking in. It's all about perspective. A raised eyebrow at the observation, are they that obvious? "Yeah, he's my housemate." Along with Rinoa, whom Reyes just watched him attempt to murder. Good times. "You know him?"

Seifer wasn't technically SeeD, not really, but he'd been raised in the same institution and held many of the same viewpoints. The highly morally ambiguous ones.

"A bit. I get staff training from him at the dojo. Though I expect I'm not important enough for him to have mentioned me." But it was something, at least -- one anchor of familiarity to yoke these two strangers together.

"Don't remember him mentionin' you. To be fair, don't talk about work much." Not details anyway. Seemed unprofessional? Sorry Reyes they're teenagers and have a tendency to get wrapped up in silly teenage things. Like harassing Nida about his crush. Very immature. At least he knew Nida.

"Fair. I've always been dreadful about separating work and play, myself." It had been one of the first differences that had cropped up between them, anyway: Nida's skepticism about the chaotic, haphazard environment Reyes had picked up his skills in, compared to the firm structure of Garden that had raised the boys.
