Sabriel's already drawn her borrowed dagger by the time the vision ends, more out of sheer habit than any expectation that it will help. While her knees are shaking, her hands are steady as she sheathes it again, regarding the others, and her surroundings. Dragged into unfamiliar surroundings again, in less than a week, and surrounded by strangers who've just seen one of the worst moments of her life.

She meets Kurt's gaze, eyeing him curiously. Clearly not human, and also not some Free Magic monstrosity. And clearly not hostile, and thank the Charter for that, as she has enough problems to deal with.

It's after the other two visions pass, and it becomes clear that a fourth for Kurt isn't about to start that he begins to talk to each of the people with him.

Sabriel, he turns back to- he'd begin to move towards her, after seeing the unsteadiness in her knees.

"I'm sorry we had to meet this way. My name is Kurt Wagner." He's very sure to keep his posture non-threatening. His tail is tucked close to his body, with only one oddly-shaped hand extended in greeting.

"I'm Abhorsen," Sabriel says before tucking away her knife and shaking his hand, the shaking of her knees gradually fading.

"And I wish we could have met under better circumstances, but I think we ought to focus on where we are now." Where were they? Was it safe, or did they need to flee?

He offers her a steady arm, nodding in agreement.

"Ja. But I do not want to go anywhere until you have your footing," he says, in a whisper so that he won't risk drawing attention from the others to her state. "I am used to being one place, and then suddenly another. It's normal for someone who isn't to be shaken- I've even had people throw up on my shoes." Humor normally helps when he's comforting one of the more standoffish students, especially if he makes himself the butt of it.

"This has happened to you before? Here, or where you're from?" Was this something she'd just have to get used to?

"Back home. Taking myself and others from one place to another in an instant is a gift of mine. It is... very startling for people I rescue, to find themselves in suddenly new surroundings." He stops, then confesses, "I get thrown up on a lot, to be honest. It's why my uniforms always cover most of my fur." Unstable molecules also deflect vomit. Or, at least, the ones for Kurt's costumes do, the way Wolverine and Laura's are bloodstain resistant (resistant, not proof).
