The message goes out over the Network Sunday evening.
'Young Adult Club, First Meet-Up/Party Monday night. First house after the Jail/Barn. Bring Snacks If You've Got Them To Spare.'
Invitation sent in general, The rest, now, came down to Nida. Good thing he had someone who knew how parties worked was right there too. Rinoa turned out to be a pretty good resource. He learned there were a few important things to do for a party. Three major things were needed: music, treats and games. Unfortunately they couldn't do much about the former, so instead Nida employed his housemates in trying to make sure the latter two were covered.
The Nibbles
The easiest person to go to about food turned out to be Seifer. Of the three of them the blonde had somehow ended up as the defacto chef of their house when it came to important things like this. What this meant was a variety of easily made food, things like a plate of half-dollar sized pancakes for easy munching or dipping into other things, fried potato edges, even a quiche that Seifer had managed to whip up, not that Nida even recognized what the whole thing was. While it wasn't as impressive a spread as the New Year Eve party had (or perhaps even the forge gathering) it was clear that the three had done the best they could with the skills two mercenaries and a formerly sheltered young woman had between them. Hopefully treats from other people would help with the spread. Personally, Nida was hoping to steal some of the fritatta Seifer had made in their cast iron skillet, but guests came first of course.
The Games
Games. What even were party games? For that one the center spotlight had gone to Rinoa's planning efforts. Nida had scrounged in the inn's shared supplies, borrowing a set of playing cards and a Jenga set. Not that he really knew what the latter was. The cards went to the dining room table with some extra chairs borrowed from an unoccupied house, the Jenga onto the coffee table, and Rinoa's peakitten Julia got shuffled into her room to prevent her from knocking over the wooden blocks yet again. Nida was tired of rebuilding.
Introductions
They're all new here, they don't all know each other, so Nida and Rinoa encourage people upon arrival to start out simple. And all you have to do is say your name and three facts about yourself. Or, if you're feeling mischievous, two truths and a lie. Can people guess the truth of the matter about you? Or do they already know you well?
Quite Spaces
Frankly Nida wasn't sure how he felt about opening their house to so many people, and with the living room, dining room and kitchen all prepped for use, he realized there was one other thing people could need. A place to talk quietly or just have group games. As he was the only one of the three of them that didn't have much in the way of property and could give up the whole concept of privacy for a bit, the back bedroom ended up having a note pinned on it with a kitchen knife.
'Quiet Space for Your Use - Do not have sex in my bed please'
With his staff stored in the basement and his tiny journal and pencils stored out of sight on top of the standing wardrobe, the room was perfect for anyone who just needed to cool down. Or have a private conversation. Good thing the house has electricity because that could be used long into the night.
Nida | OTA
Even though he'd suggested never have I ever throughout the night, Nida didn't know that he quite wanted to play that himself. This, however, had always been a fun one. Part of his early espionage classes actually. Two truths and a lie, see how much you could get away with, how outrageous while still believable. He'd always liked the concept, and it only got more interesting now that there wasn't a shared frame of reference for their worlds.
"Round one then. Do you want to go first, or should I? I warn you, I've practiced this a lot in my life."
And for once, he actually seems like he's having fun.
Learning to be Social
For all that Nida was sort of the 'mastermind' about this get together, fact of the matter was that socializing with people his own age wasn't an easy thing. Floating between conversations and knowing what would and wouldn't get him weird looks was hard. Still, that didn't stop him from approaching anyone who might get themselves alone for a few minutes, whether he met them or not, to try at this whole 'making friends' thing he was being encouraged to do. And since this wasn't recon, he had to come up with a good way to start conversations.
"So, considering the fact that we can't actually manage music, what sorts of things did you do at parties or things like this back home? So we can make it better next time?"
You Break It, You Buy It
This is their home. And it meant that for all that he was trying to have fun, Nida was also keeping his eyes on just about everything going on. Any behavior that seemed ready to cause damage to their home or possessions quickly has Nida excusing himself from a conversation and making his way over the potential disaster, a slightly hard look in his eyes. Intercept before things can be broken, that's the goal.
"So... what are you doing with that?"
What that was, well, that depended on the person involved, didn't it?
Wildcard
[OOC: Feel free to approach Nida in any manner you like. As a note, it may be noticeable that he spends parts of the party with his eyes searching out one Billy Kaplan, watching him fondly, and maybe smiling and waving sometimes. Those with anything like experience with teens and young adults and the like are more than welcome to call him on what it is: the guy has a crush. Despite this, he will also happily entertain flirting toward him.]

Two Truths and A Lie
"I'm going to say that the lie is the third," he said after a moment and before a sip of water. Best to explain why. "In that you said that you woke from being crystal, and since you can't get two lies, that means that being crystal had to be true. So it's either the first or the third and... Well, the third sounds more interesting?"
That's the best argument he's got for this. Nida told himself he was going to close his eyes and listen to the people's statements, not watch them. Too much spy training for watching not to be sorta like cheating.

Jenga
"It's really okay, Aqua," he laughed as he leaned forward to start rebuilding the tower. "So, my housemate Rinoa, I don't know if you've met her yet, she has this pet peakitten. And when I was putting this thing up the first time, Julia, the peakitten, was being so helpful. I'd get it about a third of the way built and then the kitten would just pounce it. It was cute, yeah, but you're already worlds better at playing it than Julia is."

"Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't know anyone was in here." Cissie frowns, concerned by the way the other girl is curled in on herself in a dark corner. She remembers her from her introduction, and how uneasy she had seemed. She takes a cautious step closer to her, not wanting to crowd or scare her. "...Are you okay?"

Cissie | OTA
It's a little awkward, this introduction thing, but honestly, Cissie's kind of enjoying it. It helps to break the ice, and it means she doesn't have to introduce herself individually to everyone. She just hopes that she can remember everyone's names. When it's her turn, she considers her truths carefully. She's not sure that secret identities are as important here as they are at home, but they aren't as meaningless as they were in Wonderland, so she decides to avoid that for now.
"Hi. My name is Cissie King-Jones. Uh, let's see... Three truths, I guess. I... was home schooled until I was fourteen, and then I was sent to an all girls' boarding school. I won a gold medal in the Olympics for archery when I was sixteen. And I have experience as a field medic."
General/Wildcard
Cissie is good at being friendly and outgoing when she wants to be, and she wants to be here and now. The whole point of coming to this party is to meet other people in the village, especially the ones around her age. She knows herself well enough to know that she does best when she has friends around, and this is a situation where having friends is going to be super important. They're all going to need each other to get through whatever this place has to throw at them, and she's done moping in her room at the Inn and hoping that she'll just wake up back in Wonderland or at home.
When she spots people she's already met, she'll go to greet them and ask how they're enjoying the party. Maybe comment on their introduction, if she caught it. If she sees someone hanging back, doing more observing than interacting, she might bring them a drink or snack, and a kind smile. "This is a bigger turnout than I think I expected. Who knew there were so many of us under 22?"
introductions
"So, um... this is going to sound strange, but... what's the Olympics?" she asks curiously. "Where I'm from, we don't have anything that sounds like that. I guess a gold medal is a good thing?"
Gold anything is usually a good thing, so Vanille has to assume that a gold medal is also a good thing.

"Hey Cissie," Steph calls when her friend is close enough. "Having fun?"

Rina Heartilly | OTA
This was her idea, so she has a very nicely written card with her name on it. This is also her house, so Rinoa greets everyone at the door and takes their coat and asks them to take their shoes off so not to track anything inside. She is in blue as usual and feeling wonderful that evening, excited to have everyone there and get a little time with more people their age. She always feels likes he has to be on her best behavior with the adults, but this will give them all a chance to just be with each other instead.
When it is her turn, she smiles and waves. "I'm Rinoa Heartilly. I am a city gal from Deling City, I love to sing and dance, and I think I might want to learn how to be a nurse. Or, uh, it's equivalent since we're here!" She can't be a rebel leader so it seems like a good option. Her fingers play with the necklace around her neck where two rings hang.
Accidental Cat Problem!
Rinoa really only planned on popping into her room for a minute, but Julia took that second to sneak out like the quick little peakitten she is. "Oh no!" Rinoa snatches up her gloves and hurriedly gets them on, dodging around people. "Don't touch her, I'll get her." It might sound like a strange request to people who aren't aware of what the feline can do. She does manage to snag Julia up into her gloved hands before she can rub up against anyone, and lets out a big sigh of relief.
"Sorry abut that," she says to whoever is nearest and may have come close to getting a peacat surprise. "Petting her causes a reaction."
Quiet Spaces - locked to Billy
Rinoa is having a great time at the party, and she keeps waving to Billy over the night, but eventually what Nida said to her echoes in her head. So she walks over and smiles, snatching his hand and tugging him toward Nida's room. They can't go outside, it's too cold, and her room has a grumpy kitten in it. She knew Nida set aside his room in case people wanted to chat. She has a lot of thoughts, about Nida and Billy, but that's not what she plans on talking about (right away). She shuts the door and sits on Nida's bed.
"Hi. This is going to sound random, but I didn't want to talk about this out there." She ran fingers through her hair and glances up at him. "Nida said you might want to talk about magic?"
cats!
By the time Julia gets free, Aqua is standing on the edges of the party again, mostly watching while she sips a glass of water. The call of, "Don't touch her," catches her attention first and as she turns towards it, she spots a young woman catching a beautiful animal Aqua can only assume is Julia the peakitten.
"It's okay," she says easily. "She's very pretty. Is that Julia? Nida was telling me about her."

At her words, Billy looks back to her, leaning against the closed door. He isn't sure what to say. Nida mentioned it to her? That means something to him, something good, but he's still full of nerves. Taking a deep breath, he lets it out slowly, reaching up to fiddle with his earringless lobe.
"Uh, yeah. He said you were the person to talk to about magic. Specifically, Sorceresses. I guess I had some questions. It sounds... kind of familiar, I guess."

Billy | OTA
This part, at least, Billy's not terrified of. He can do this. It's just an introduction, right? Every first day of school for the last twelve years has had something like this, and he's not likely to get his ass kicked for it, which is a bonus. So he grins, looking perfectly comfortable (some of which may have to do with his hair, finally styled to his satisfaction thanks to a certain someone), and gives a little wave.
"Hi. I'm Billy Kaplan. Uh, let's see, three facts? I've got two little brothers and one twin--you might have seen him earlier stuffing his face with pancakes--my favorite musical is the Sound of Music, and...um...I have ticklish elbows."
Okay, so maybe that last one is a little weird. Whatever.
[games]
Later in the night, Billy's commandeered the abandoned deck of cards and laid them out on the dining room table, making neat columns. Anyone who passes by and shows any interest at all will have a cheery boy asking them to
"Pick a card. Any card."
[wild]
[Billy shows up just as the party's starting, looking a little more put together than usual. Is that actual product in his hair? Is his breath minty fresh? Does he spend an inordinate amount of time looking around the room like he's searching for someone, or smiling at certain someones from across the room? That would be a yes to all of the above. Feel free to catch him anywhere, he's all over.]
Wild - Let's Face It, Their's is a Decaying Orbit
It's a while before he finally finds himself alone at the same time that Billy is, and finally he crosses to his friend. His best friend.
"So this counts as a reason to break out the product?" Nida asks, and yes, there is a bit of appreciation in his gaze. "Or have you been wearing it since I gave it to you?"
Because Nida wouldn't know. He hasn't been around Billy since that sleepover. Since that realization. Even their evening conversations he's steered only toward movies. Because anything more than that would have been overwhelming while he had to think about what was going on with him. And there was a lot to think about, between what happened and the conversations since that he's had with some other people.
It's true

Seifer | OTA
Seifer looked like a deer caught in headlights. He wasn't expecting Nida to actually pull him into this thing. He was just going to cook, maybe watch from the safety of the dining room, not participate! After shooting Nida his most annoyed scowl he just kind of shrugged.
"Uhh. What? I don't know. Shit okay, fine, figure out the lie:" He really had to think about this one, because honestly there wasn't a lot he felt he could boast about without asking for too many questions. But maybe...
"I was in a parade once," Risky. "My favorite color is blue." Safe. "I cut what some people might call a god in half." He smirked. Alright guys, pick it. No Nida or Rinoa you can't participate.
The Cook
For the most part Seifer was a bit too uncertain of how to deal with situations like this to hang out with the crowd for too long. So any opportunity he found the food running low he'd use that as an excuse to go cook something else. Perhaps someone has a request, or just wants to get out of the main bustle for a little while and the safe room is occupied. He's spending most of his time manning the kitchen. It's warm and cozy in there, with some extra crunchy potatoes he made for himself to avoid nibbling on the food he made for the guests.
Chill out cat:
Sure he could go in his own room and hide when he needed to, but along the way he spotted a very sad looking paw sticking out from under Rinoa's door. How could he ignore such a sad, desperate cry for attention? He couldn't, no one with any bit of a heart could.
So, after making sure Rinoa wasn't around to scold him immediately he cracked the door open to release the peacat. Before she could zip out and escape he looped an arm beneath her and brought her up to hug and give some furious chin scratches too, which soon resulted in ample purring. And a bonus for Seifer who didn't care that the oil contact made you a little euphoric. Honestly with how much the crowd was stressing him out he could use it. So he's just going to go find a quieter corner to cuddle the cat for a little bit, don't mind him.

Kat ✵ Open To All
Kat had arrived on time and with nothing but herself. She should have brought something, an offering of food or alcohol but she didn't have anything that she could reasonably part with. "I'm Kat." Her tongue darted nervously across her lips and her vibrant emerald green eyes dropped towards the floor. She was good at talking to people one on one but large groups like this were awkward. Kat wasn't used to having the attention directed so pointedly at her nor was she used to having friends. She'd had coworkers when she was with the order but that was different.
The one blessing that eased what might have made this all awkward was that she already knew Stephanie very well and had spoken to both Nida and Seifer once before. If not for them, she might not have arrived tonight.
"I'm not sure what else to say. It's nice to meet everyone."
Kat was wearing her attire from home which wasn't made for winter but it was comfortable. Her hood was pulled over her head and the thin familiar piece of fabric felt safe.
GAME FLAILS
Kat didn't know why she was having so much trouble with this. Her hands were steady and she was used to working on small gears and other fragile projects, both for the order and for Tony, but that wasn't helping her. No matter what she did, she as backed into a corner where she had to take a piece that would cause the tower to fall.
Vergil had been the master of strategies and she silently wished he was here to help her select better pieces. They always had made the best team.
She shook away the thought and helped rebuilding the tower.
QUITE CALM
Kat was respectful. She took a seat on the floor with her shoulder blades pressed against the wall. The warmth of the house helped her relax and she closed her eyes as she listened to the pleasant buzz of the party going on in the rest of the house. This was nice and she was happy that she'd left her two charges at home to come tonight. She didn't know how long she'd be staying but she didn't regret it.
She sat for over an hour in the silent room, greeting those who entered with a soft hello before falling back into silence.
WILD CARD
Quite Calm
The way Nida saw it, his party, his obligation to interact with just about everyone who showed up, no regrets, right? Especially someone who had been as kind as Kat, willing to offer up her own home for this thing in the first place. Not having to infringe upon her privacy had been something he'd been relieved for.
Imposing on others wasn't okay with him. Thus his sharing of his own bedroom, which was something he was normally violently not okay with. But people need quiet places, and it wasn't like they could have people hole up in the basement.

kamala khan | ota
Fun fact: she's wanted to make friends her age since she got here. They ended up disappearing a lot. They certainly never organized a get together so she's stoked. When it's her turn, she waves at them and smiles big. "Hi! I'm Kamala Khan. I survived a horror movie, I am a huge fan of superheroes, and I sort of live in a zoo at the moment? My roommate won't stop getting pets and I actually don't mind it since my parents wouldn't let me have one before." Is she telling two truths and a lie or is this her legit intro? She'll let them decide.
The Nibbles;
She loves to cook. It's not much of a surprise that Kamala has shows up with sliced potatoes season with garlic and parsley. Feel free to compliment the chef or help her set this up. She made a lot of potatoes in hopes of making a good impression.
Games;
Jenga is a hard game for a girl with zero chill. Kamala is trying. She is trying so hard!! And... safe to say she's losing a lot. Tips please?
Introduction
Horror movies are a bit of a mess, he remembers all of that, but how does one really live that sort of thing? Or was it that she had a really bad movie experience?

Tim Drake | OTA (so late to this, sorry!)
Cissie had encouraged him to come to this (strongly implying that she would bodily drag him if he didn't agree to go of his own volition), but he would have come anyway. He doesn't know many people yet, and while he might not be the most social person in the world at all times, he's not completely solitary. Two truths and a lie sounds like a fun way to get to know people, though. "Hi, I'm Tim Drake-Wayne. Uh, let's see. I was acting CEO of a multinational corporation, I graduated high school early, and once time, my little dropped me through a glass case."
General
Tim is enjoying the games and food, but as far as he's concerned, the best part of all of this is the chance to meet and get to know so many of the others stuck here as well. He's surprised that so many of them are in this younger age group, considering that they're apparently building a community here, and so few young people have experience with that kind of thing. That's not a commentary he's going to make here and now, though--he's mostly happy just to meet people and hear more about them and their worlds.
He can be found near the snacks or games--who doesn't love party games?--and would love to hear more about all of your worlds.
Introduction (No Problem)
Almost wondered later if the guy was a 'fake' as well. And damn if he doesn't present some of the most intriguing possibly lies that Nida had heard all night.
Age would seem to preclude the CEO thing, but really, it was so out there it had to be true, right? And that might require the high school early.
"I don't know what a little is, but I'm getting that was the lie. I think."
He's not as sure on this one.
Typo, but it makes it funnier!
