It's rude to not properly appreciate the person spending all this time and effort feeding a horde of hungry teens and twenty-somethings, especially when you're one of them, so at some point during the night after his talk with Nida, Billy pops into the kitchen to say hello and pay his compliments to the chef.
"Hey, Seifer," he greets the other young man, offering a little wave. "Nida says you did a bunch of the cooking for tonight. I just wanted to tell you you did a great job, everything's really delicious. I love the fried potatoes." And the pancakes. And that frittata. Honestly, it's all great.
