[MINGLE] Harvest Feast 🍂
WHERE: 6I Inn
WHEN: 10 November, all day
OPEN TO: ALL - MINGLE POST
NOTE: Details can be found here.
In the wee hours of November 10th, before even the earliest risers have roused themselves for another day, items begin to appear in the front room of the Inn. Decorations first — Boughs of autumn leaves in their reds and golds, wreaths of dried flowers and silken ribbon, flickering candles among the goards and berries and acorns. The food arrives next, the decadent aroma slipping up the Inn stairs to tempt those lingering in bed — Every imaginable harvest time delicacy, from roast turkey and ham to smoked salmon and oysters; fresh, soft bread warm from the oven to plum pudding and ice cream. And did we mention pie?
Once again, it's time for a feast. The bar is stocked, the coffee is brewed and the tables are groaning with food. Indulge, there's more than enough for everyone — That is, if you don't lose your appetite worrying about what it will all cost.

Truthfully, she has already picked at a couple small pieces of food while wandering around, nibbling here and there just to see if there are any strange side effects. So far, she seems to be doing okay but she knows that Erik will be suspicious. Not that she is sure she can soothe his mind in any way but she does understand it.
"There is alcohol too." She says that part with a bit of a fond smile.
no subject
"Alcohol." He misses that, it's true, but not to much that he hoards it when there's some around. He's satisfied enough for the moment that there are no side effects to this meal -- no immediate ones, anyway -- and his stomach has been steadily growling louder for the last twenty minutes. "We could have a lot of fun with alcohol around." That was, after all, how it had gotten started in the first place.
"Which I suppose means I should eat something too."
no subject
Tilting her head back to look up at him, the corners of her mouth twitch a bit when she hears the growl coming from his midsection. "Yes and maybe do it soon? Or else you're going to drown out the conversations going on around us?"
She likes to tease him but she also slides her hand into his before tugging him towards the food. "Come on, I'll eat with you."
no subject
"Well I can't turn that down."
no subject
"That's the point." She offers a cheeky sort of a grin like she knows she has a secret power or something beyond her supposed regeneration which doesn't work right now. Reaching the table, she lets go of his hand so she can hand him a plate before grabbing herself one and starting to dish up.
no subject
Which is why he takes the plate without complaining and start to pile it with food.
no subject
After piling her plate up, she steps to the side and waits for him to finish up before she starts for a nearby empty table. Claiming a spot, she sits down and glances up at him again. "What do you want to drink?"
no subject
"What did we have last time? I liked that." Or maybe what he liked was what happened as a result of what they drank last time.
no subject
"I think it was maybe vodka? Or tequila?" She can't really remember at this point what it was they had been drinking since she mostly just remembers what happened next. It's a night that she looks back on rather fondly, especially as it led to something more between them. "Why? Are you thinking we should find the same and have a repeat?"
no subject
"As I remember, we both enjoyed it then." And many times since then, too. "I see no reason that we wouldn't enjoy it again."
no subject
"We did and we have enjoyed a lot of since then too." She voices his thoughts without realizing it before shifting to glance over her shoulder. "Should I go grab a bottle?"
no subject
"Make it a good one."
no subject
"Have you ever tried brandy? Or should I grab some rum?"
no subject
"Brandy will do fine." That and whiskey are his preferred choices, but most things will do. Go without it for awhile and things start to look better.
