It's been a strange, rough couple of months for our intrepid villagers — Bunkers, superpowers and clones, oh my! Perhaps the Observers are sympathetic to their plight, or maybe they just have a peculiar sense of humor. At any rate, they've set up a gathering space chalk full of summer camp goodness, no strings attached. Not that anyone knows that part.

Just before sunset, a cheery message pops up on wrist devices all across the settlement and beyond. The instructions seem simple enough, although one does have to wonder at what dubious gift awaits them all after everything is said and done.

Marshmallows are on the house, so grab yourself a stick, strap on a sash and get to roasting, villagers. Skinny dipping, sing-alongs and friendship bracelets optional.

"...Yes, but in some cases being human does not count for privilege. I once knew a girl who was..." his predecessor had known her. He dismissed that notion, "She was "cursed". Or so she believed. The last of a line of witches. Her name made her an outcast. You and I both know human beings judge things that are other far more then they should."

He sighs, "It's a...hard lesson I had to learn. But It sounds like you've learned it too."

That makes him chuckle, "Only stuff about sin? I'm sure there are other more...exciting things."

Kamala glances down at the observation. She feels for this girl, but he definitely hit a nerve there. To this day Kamala doesn't know how she was dumb enough to miss Zoe making fun of her for being Muslim for actual years.

She swallows and points out honestly. "There is! It's just that so many of the girls are at that age." If it sounds like Kamala is quoting someone, it is because she's basically quoting every well-meaning elder at the mosque. "So they're kind of obsessed about us being corrupted and stuff which is crazy when you think about it. The most controversial thing one of us ever did was forget to take off our nail polish before a prayer group. We're pretty tame."

"That's what I've always figured." Alec shrugs his massive green shoulders, "Human beings lives are so fleeting, you deserve a break even if you did decide to get in more trouble."

He stretches, "You're all right here though."
