This morning, our intrepid villagers awoke to a surprise of the nicer kind: A bundle of clothing left at the foot of their bed, tied with a bow. There is also a note: Put on your new outfit and join the festivities in the corn field next to the inn.

You may be thinking, what corn field next to the inn? The one that sprung up fully-mature overnight, of course.

In the middle of the field, villagers will find an autumn feast: Tables piled with harvest time food and drink, warm and rustic decorations, the day's sunshine fending off any chill in the air.

Tuck in and enjoy, villagers, but take note: Things often look different in the dark, and you might be one of them.

"A beautiful young girl hated by her step mother because she wasn't as hot as the young princess," he says, because that is what Bobo took away from that story. He follows that, smiling. 'Not the right queen, though Margaery is an elegant and helpful woman, I have to say."

He chuckles at that. "Which means, likely, there's a goddess around here. He stole some daughter of a goddess or something and made her his wife."

"She is. I'd use the word stunning actually." He smiles. Then he nods and looks around, studying the ladies and trying to figure out which one of them is a goddess. Then he looks at the guys. "What about that guy over there?"

Bobo can't help but to nod at that. "She is. Stunning is the word for it," he admits. No one that looks at her could argue that. Considering others for Bull's match when he sees Whatney, not that Bobo has met him.

"You know... I do think that is her. Well... him."

[ataashihunter]

Bull glances in the direction Bobo indicated and frown. "But what is he supposed to be? I have to say this whole thing doesn't make much sense you know."

[fooloftheking]

"Honestly, unless something goes weird, I think it's just a game the Observers or someone is playing. I mean, they give us new clothes and then this happens? Feels like it's just them using us for entertainment."

Which is more disconcerting than if there was meant to be something to this. They're just playthings, and that doesn't sit well with Bobo at all.

Bull grunts. He doesn't mind being entertainment but if he is to be that he likes to at least know why and who is watching him. The lack of agency bothers him less than it should but he wants to know why. "Has anyone figured out a way to contact them?"

[fooloftheking]

"Not that anyone can tell me," he says, rolling his eyes. "Everyone says they have proof in the gifts but they've never seen anyone physically. Kind of like how did our outfits change today?"

They're thought he's had that he probably shouldn't, if only that there's not likely to be many answers.

[ataashihunter]

"Yeah, I guess that is a sign that someone at least has eyes when it comes to your outfit. Damn those boots do good things to your legs, but the look like hell to walk on."

[fooloftheking]

Bobo chuckles at that, smiling as he preens. "They take their toll, but they're worth it for the look. I could see me wearing them more often, but I want my boots back."

[ataashihunter]

"I'd like to see you in just these. or for that matter just the boots." Bull grins at him.

[fooloftheking]

"Just the boots?" Bobo questions coquettishly, looking up at him with a wicked grin. "I suppose that would help with the bit of a height difference, wouldn't it? Open up so many possibilities."

[ataashihunter]

"That it would. How do you feel about being taken against a wall? Turn off or on?" He likes to check what people are into before he even really contemplates them. "Or... Not that the boots are a must then, but have you ever been tied up so you're on your toes?"

[fooloftheking]

Bobo chuckles, taking a moment to consider that first part, though he knows the answer. "Definitely good with against a wall. Pinned to it. Slammed against it. All are good," he says, though he takes another moment, more thoughtful in his consideration.

"Never been in any position where I ever trusted anyone enough to even hold me down," he admits. "So no idea. Never thought about it. Before that was asking to end up dead."

"Hm. A lot of places it still is. But not with me. If you want to give it a go we can, if you want to wait we can do that too." He smiles. Bobo would be the one in control if he ever got tied up and Bull wants to make sure he feels that way now as well.

"We'll see," he says, not dismissively but considering. Here in the village is the first time he's ever found a time when he felt he could even consider such things. Like so much else here. The friends he's made, the life he's living where he's not constantly on guard, waiting for the tables to turn, to have others turn on him. A lot is different here, and he's curious to see how different it can all be.

"I'm not against it, I've just spent my life around a lot of people I wouldn't trust to prepare my food. This place is a new experience."

[ataashihunter]

"I get that, I really do. I have had a lot of the same. There are other stuff we can do with rope that doesn't restrict your movement at all. We can start there if you're interested. No pressure or anything, just letting you know what your options are." He smiles. He wants Bobo to do this because he wants to and trusts Bull enough, and he is willing to take it slow and show Bobo he can be trusted.

"Always looking over your shoulder can be exhausting."

There's an excitement that courses through Bobo at the talk. Not just the sexual kind of stirring summoned by the very subject, but so much more. Of being in a place where he actually can consider these things.

"Try doing it for more than a lifetime and see how exhausted you become," he murmurs, closing his eyes a moment as if that weight was there once more.

He physically gives himself a shake, opening his eyes and smiling. "But that's another time and place. It's weird to say, but I trust you enough to try these other means, if nothing else."

Bull nods. He has no problem imagining it and he figures the longer you do it the worse it is. Right then and there he decides that he will make Bobo feel safe enough to trust him. He leans down to press a kiss to the other's head. "Yeah? They involve rope and... well have you seen harnesses? They are a good place to start. You can make them so they don't restrict movement but also give a good handhold for sex."

[fooloftheking]

"Oh because the height and bulk isn't enough of jerking me around, huh?" And yet he's smiling fondly even as he teases Bull about that. It's still a good sensation for Bobo, not being the larger person in a relationship but enjoying it.

"And you're skilled in such things, is that it?"

[ataashihunter]

"I have plenty of practice with it, from both sides really. I like it. And yeah, I can use that but this is a different feel. The trust there. The rope against your skin. It just feels different."

[fooloftheking]

Bobo considers that. "Both sides? So you'd show me and teach me?" It sounds like a skill he'd like to have. Something that could be really useful.

"I promise to be an apt student," he says, fairly purring the words, certainly finding the thought a lot more appealing in that way. Learning to enjoy it, to share it as well.

[ataashihunter]

Bull grins. "I can definitely do that. Might be easiest if we can convince someone to be the guinea pig. It can be hard to tie yourself up after all." He smiles. "If you have someone in mind we can ask them, if not I am sure we can ask someone else. We need some rope too but yeah."

Bobo laughs at that. "But a nice trick if you can figure it out. If for no other reason than to leave yourself as a present for someone," he points out, finding the idea amusing and sexy at the same time. "I'm sure someone in this village would be more than willing to let us try."

Pausing to consider the last part, making a bit of a face. "Most we have around here tends to be rough, utility rope. Will have to have a look around."

"Rough rope has its own benefits though. It doesn't slip, is easier to tie and it can add something to the whole thing with the texture. Silk ropes are really horrible, too slippery and the knots won't hold. And if you are doing anything where people are off the ground you want the knots to hold."

[fooloftheking]

"I was thinking more the kind of cording I've seen used for other things, and not ending up with bits embedded in my skin," he says with a smile, mostly playing. "Not that I haven't had that embedded in my skin before, but none of the intent was never pleasure."
