This morning, our intrepid villagers awoke to a surprise of the nicer kind: A bundle of clothing left at the foot of their bed, tied with a bow. There is also a note: Put on your new outfit and join the festivities in the corn field next to the inn.
You may be thinking, what corn field next to the inn? The one that sprung up fully-mature overnight, of course.
In the middle of the field, villagers will find an autumn feast: Tables piled with harvest time food and drink, warm and rustic decorations, the day's sunshine fending off any chill in the air.
Tuck in and enjoy, villagers, but take note: Things often look different in the dark, and you might be one of them.

"Should I be worried about how comfortable you look in such a short skirt?" The strutting definitely hadn't been missed after all.
no subject
"And please. I have been through too much to be insecure in my masculinity. Glad you've liked the view though. How long were you watching, Kid?"
no subject
"Clearly that was an oversight on my part. I should have forgone the deep philosophical talks and asked about your kinks, though now I'm afraid to ask." He peered out through his fingers, shaking his head slightly. "I can always appreciate a guy who is confident in himself, but before you start flattering yourself, it wasn't that long."
But you know, he had still been watching. But in his defense, he was mostly used to Bobo's mountain man look. To know he was comfortable in this sort of outfit too was a bit shocking but also amazing.
no subject
"Oh I will flatter myself either way. If you can't compliment yourself, why do you expect others to do the same?"
And he means it. He truly is just doing something he hasn't in so long. Just enjoying himself without worrying, and that means flaunting it because he can.
no subject
"All right, I get it you, you have boundless confidence. I'm happy for you and for all of us, who get to see you in all of your glory." Ty said, still grinning as he crossed his arms over his chest. "But aren't you cold?"
no subject
Bobo snorts then, making a face. "Oh I'm fucking freezing, but what choice do I have? Run home? Rather suffer than give up."
Which says a lot about him, and more than he would likely admit to most others. "Come on, Kid. You need to learn to have fun."
no subject
Ty only shook his head at that, laughing. "You want my jacket? I don't want you to suffer too much."
He did pause at the indication that he needed to learn how to have fun, mock offended but amused. "All right enlighten me. What's your idea of fun? Dancing? Drinking?"
no subject
Though he offers a bit of a real smile then, shaking his head. "You're too kind, but I'm good. I'm from up north anyway. You do't get cold that easy. Not like some of you people," he teases.
"Yep, with some gambling thrown in. I would say sex, but not sure you're old enough for that," he taunts.
no subject
"I was thinking about having a card game night, if you were interested. I can let you know if it gets off the ground." Ty offered, crinkling his nose slightly at the taunt. "With your advanced age, is all of that even still functioning?" Ty shot back, mock concerned.
no subject
"I would definitely be interested. Count me in," he says, laughing though because there it was again. He's entertaining, Bobo'll give him that. "Advance age brings knowledge, wisdom, and a lack of morals to go along with all the parts and pieces working just fine, thank you."
no subject
"Okay, I get it, we're hedging into too much information territory. I'm stopping you there before this somehow devolves into wacky hijinks where you feel like you need to prove your virility. I believe you."
no subject
"Never had to prove it, but the stories might be harmful to you," he admitted. "Some just can't handle it." And of course insinuating that Ty was definitely someone that couldn't, though he might think that of all people that hadn't been through all he has.
no subject
He scrunched up his face slightly at the naked challenge in Bobo's voice, looking him up and down pointedly. "If this is your way of starting gay chicken, you'll have to do better than that. I've had worse." Probably not but really, there were worse challenges to meet.
no subject
Sniffing though making a face at him. "And on that note, I think I need a drink. Try and stay out of trouble. And if not, make sure you make a spectacle of yourself."
fin?
He laughed at the face that Bobo made at him, slapping his shoulder companionably.
"I would say the same to you, but you'd probably enjoy it if you did. See you around."
