With the house mostly cleaned, Danny poured all of his remaining energy into getting the first floor set up as a Dojo. The kitchen would remain untouched and usable. The dining room connected to that will be left mostly untouched; with the couch from the family room pushed against the far wall to be used as a make-shift infirmary for anyone who manages to injure themselves. Danny didn't think it was going to happen but he figured it would appease anyone who was a doctor, i.e. Claire, to know that some precautions had been taken. The last two large rooms would be cleared; one room was to be used for sparring, meditation and Danny's lessons while the other room was to be set up with punching bags and practice dummies.
It's a very large undertaking and that didn't even include the obstacle course Rose wanted to put outside or the targets Danny wanted to set up so he, and anyone else, could learn archery. There was a lot to do but at least they had all the time in the world.
Danny could be found at different stages of his projects throughout the month: attempting to use the cushion from his bed to pad the sparring room floor, cleaning (which was a task that was never truly complete), staring at the area around the house to figure out how they were going to set things up outside, grumbling about wanting his I-pod back, swinging sticks to see if he can use them as practice swords, making an open & closed sign for the front door and a handful of other tasks where it was impossible to tell what Danny was trying to do.
A few days into the project, Danny sent out a text for help and would be on the lookout for anyone who was eager to lend a hand or interested in training.
It made perfect sense for it to be there.
Except that it didn't.
The moment that Danny touched the melon it vanished in a puff of white smoke. He coughed and waved the offending air away before looking down at the empty ground. "What?" A block of ice settled in the pit of his stomach chilling him through. "This is awesome." He paused again, looking confused. It absolutely wasn't awesome, it was awful. Danny had no idea what he was saying.
"I'm perfectly fine. " His hand briefly pulled over his mouth. "Fuck." He swore loudly and kicked at the ground. He had no idea what was going on and for the next hour he was going to have a hard time communicating with people.
Equipment in the Dojo will be sparse and non-existent for a while, it will be reasonable and based on threads Danny has with people or handwaved talking. The list of all equipment will be on his Sixth Iteration information post HERE and it is important to note that he will not be making everything he thinks he's going to make because he doesn't know how to make most of these things. Please check the list if you'd like to write a thread in the Dojo, assume wooden floors and basic drywall unless noted.]

DOJO
Booze.
Anyway, it was traditional to bring a gift when someone started a new endeavor.
So toting along a bottle of her murkiest vodka, Sam made her way to the dojo, a few hours after Danny's post. She was wearing a black sports bra and her scrub bottoms. Her hair--her real hair, that was--was coiled into a tight knot at the base of her skull, covered completely by a black kerchief, just like the night they'd met.
She rapped her knuckles on the doorframe and walked in. "I'm gonna guess you don't need to hear me say that you shouldn't mix booze and Kung-fu, right?"
DOJO
He knew that he sucked at texting.
His palms brushed against the hunter green pants scrubs. Danny wasn't wearing a shirt today and was already sweaty from moving his mattress down a flight of stairs and into the room that's just to the right of the front door.
"Hey Sam." He flashed a boy-ish smile when she held up the booze. "I don't know. It could be fun." He hadn't yet had the encounter with the drunken master and the hell that booze could unleash.

With a soft smirk, she walked over to him, offering the bottle. "There's this Jewish tradition my mom taught me. Where you're supposed to throw quarters at someone who's just gotten a new house. I'm not sure what the fuck it means, but I don't have any quarters, so this'll have to do."
She vividly recalled the day that her mother had chucked quarters at one of her high school friends, showing off the new car they were going to use to carpool to school. It had been simultaneously hilarious and a little scary. In that way that mothers could be scary.
Turning to one side, Sam glanced around the room. "This place is shaping up, Yoda."
no subject
"But thanks." He wasn't used to getting presents and it was a super awkward thank you.
"Did you want to have another lesson? The rooms still need work but we can go outside." As he spoke, he uncorked the vodka and took a small sip. It hit him like a truck and he coughed a little. There really was no getting used to Sam's stuff... "You know. You should try adding some of those peaches to this, it might make it sweeter." It'd also remind him of the plum wine that the monks made at the monastery.

Dojo
As with all situations where he had to meet someone new, anxiety ate away at his stomach, making him doubt his decision. He did get a few offers to learn how to fight, and he planned on taking them, but there was a certain professionalism in an official dojo. Plus they said Danny was zen, something Bruce himself learned a great deal about in his time in hiding. For some time, meditation was the only thing he had to keep the Hulk at bay, so he knew its significance. In the end, after hovering in indecision for awhile, Bruce decided to force himself past his concerns and step into the doorway of the first floor.
There he stood for a moment and he knocked on the open door. "Hello?"
Dojo
He stood and turned towards the front door, showing off the large sweeping dragon burned onto his chest. It looked like a tattoo and it happened to also be the mark that the Hand used in their drug trade.
"Hey." He tossed the rag he was using into a bucket of water and picked up a dry towel to wipe away the sweat. "Come in. What can I do for you?"
Dojo
Zen. He was able to be zen. Really. Honest.
"Hi, I'm Bruce. Banner. Frank and Kamala told me I should meet you. Also I saw your post, but this seemed, uh, easier than there. I was around the corner." Which was funny as Bruce did prefer being online when he talked to people in some ways. He was really going to try though. People were very kind so far, and he did not have to worry about hurting anyone at the moment. "I don't know how to fight, which is bad, since we're in a place that I'm told we might have to fight sometimes. I don't know how to do everything on your request post, but I know some of it, and also all the how-to books cover some of the information." So he could teach himself.
"I also am a doctor, so I could teach you first aid, uh, if you want to trade skills. I doubt nuclear physics sounds as useful around here." A lot of his science expertise wasn't particularly useful at this time, so he could make a joke about it. Being self-deprecating was his go-to sense of humor.
Dojo
Teaching people was one of the few things that Danny could do and do well; having students chased away the anger he felt at being trapped and useless in some unknown world, with some unknown purpose.
"I'm Danny Rand. It's nice to meet you Bruce." He flashed a brief puppy-dog like smile. Danny could be severe and serious but there as an innocence to his features that didn't match the terrible scars that marked his sides and back or the weight in the light green hue of his eyes. "I've been meaning to go through the books but I haven't had time yet." Frank had told Danny about them though he still believed that reading how to do something and actually doing it, where two totally different things.
"It's fine really. Do what you can but I'll never ask for more than that." Danny wasn't really a physics kind of guy. "What kind of fighting do you want to learn? I can teach material arts but I can also teach a handful of weapons."
He didn't care for weapons but Danny knew that he was weird in that regard.

Dojo - Early Oct.
"Hey! Are you busy? I'm here to make myself useful."
Dojo - Early Oct.
"Hey. I'm busy but it's fine." He was wearing his scrub pants and nothing else. Danny had already worked up a sweat and he was trying to do as little extra cleaning as possible, which meant not getting his shirts stained with sweat.
"You didn't want to train?" Danny raised an eyebrow at her. "I need help cleaning for today. The other stuff I posted on the network." He paused and eyed Kamala curiously. "What would you want in the Dojo?" He had gone for basic items but maybe she had better ideas?

"I think you covered everything that wasn't robots and super holograms too." She shrugs. Queen Medusa was pretty decked out, but they're on a budget here and tech shortage.

He pointed to the room to the right of the front door after walking inside. The room was one of the largest of the house and might have actually been the family room but Danny wasn't sure. He was used to living in a house that had far too many rooms and then a monastery.
"I want to get the couch over here. Everything else will be balanced on the porch." He'd have to cover it in case it rained but Danny really wasn't too worried about it.

Early October
"Hey, I'm all done upstairs. Do you need any help?"
She liked finding things to do without her usual forms of entertainment from home. She didn't need to be at the Forge at the moment, so she wanted to do what she could while she was here.
Early October
"Think you can help me? It'll be easier with someone else." It wasn't too heavy but it was big and Danny would probably knock something over.
"Then I was thinking lunch. I snagged some stuff from the inn and put it in the kitchen here." It wasn't going to be a common thing but Danny hoped that he could eventually stock the place... eventually. That was an even large task then everything else he was already trying to do.
no subject
She couldn't help but grin back at him.
"Yeah, of course." She was more than willing to help, not to mention stronger than she looked. "I think having lunch not at the inn for once sounds kind of perfect, actually."
no subject
Danny's room was clean but it was very spars. He had moved his clothes over and set up all of his blankets and pillows on the floor in a bed but it otherwise looked unremarkable.
"If you can take that end. I'll go backwards."

Magic Bingo is a-go
He's not even used to having this much freedom, especially without others seeking him out and tracking his activities. It's kind of nice to have all that space and freedom... and bugs. Well, a singular damn moth that flew in his face. Batting at it, his hands brushing the damn thing. Maybe he killed it. Maybe he didn't. In the end he's not sure because he's not even sure why he's batting around at something that isn't even there anymore.
Blinking, a bit stunned as he glances around. Trying to remember what part of the Ghost River Triangle this is. "Well shit," he mutters, turning around slowly. Picking a direction, staring to head that way. It's when he found what seems to be like a walnut, a bit oddly colored but the world changes.
And that is how he came to find himself rushing through the woods, going faster than he can imagine and loving it. It is amazing to see the trees whiz by, to feel the breeze on his face, to trip on a root and go sprawling at sixty miles per hour and skidding across the turf until you butt up against a tree.
Magic Bingo is a-go
*Smack*
"The fuck." His voice rang out through the woods as he turned towards a tree and the strange man who had slapped ran into it. Danny hadn't seen what happened. He'd felt that something in the forest had changed, heard a loud thud and then turned to see Boba sprawled at the base of a tree. His brain filled in the rest of the blanks but he had no idea what actually happened.
"Hey, man. You okay?"
Danny stepped forward and helped the man to his feet, his fingers tightly gripping Babo's arm to keep him steady. He had a lot of questions but he'd wait to see if the guy was okay first.
no subject
Yet he laughs. A loud, raucous sound as he straightens and grins at the other man.
"That was hilarious," he pronounces, blinking though as he realizes he's not any of the revenants he might have expected to find him after that. "Who the hell are you?"

Wildcard
It was why Danny was a saving grace. For the hours that she needed to look after other matters, she could rely on him to watch the animals, feed them and let them graze. There was something comforting as well to arrive at the police station and see him there, already at work an waiting for her. It made smiling easier and natural.
"Winter is coming soon. This will be more difficult with the snow."
Wildcard
"Hey," He flashed Margaery a smile as she stepped into the police station. He always knew he she arrived because the animals always responded to her presence.
"Yeah, we'll figure it out." Danny wasn't sure if they had snow shovels here but he was honestly used to the snow after living in a monastery that was primarily in the mountains. "Just let me know if there is anything extra I can do. I can sleep here too, if you need it." It wasn't like he slept in a bed anyway.
Danny finished up what he was doing and walked over to where Margaery was standing. "At some point I need to take a trip to the beach. I'll be gone for a few days but I'll give you a heads up." His light green eyes looked over at her as if to assess her health, when they had first met she seemed rung out though she looked a little bit better now. "You doing okay?"
no subject
That Danny was still intending to help her was comforting. A simple reminder that no matter who left, there were still others kind enough to offer a hand.
"Sleep here?" She nearly laughed, looking around the harsh room. While there were benches, she didn't think it was comfortable enough to spend the night. "I suppose, but it wouldn't make for a restful sleep."
She nodded, "Why the beach?" She wanted to brush off the question, but there were so few to talk to, it was more difficult to keep things to herself. "So many have left. It is difficult to ignore it."

Candy Frogs
"Hi! Be careful down there."
Candy Frogs
"What for?"
He didn't notice the bright orange and blue frog that was clinging to one of the surfaces nearby or if he did, he hadn't realized that they were at all paralyzing because Danny took a step forward, nearing one such creature with his eyes directed towards the tree tops and Stephanie.
no subject
"You're in my line of fire. Not to mention scaring the critters."
Steph was aware of the frogs' properties, but wasn't exactly in the habit of watching out for such things this close to home. She didn't notice the tiny creature either, even as it readied to move while caught between two potential predators.
