WHO: Emma Swan
WHERE: All over
WHEN: backdated to December 20th
OPEN TO: Killian Jones
WARNINGS: possible adult content and fluffiness
STATUS: closed
Emma was still in sort of stunned disbelief that she had gotten presents for Christmas. It wasn’t that she was a particularly a bad girl this year, it was more that she had never really had a reason to celebrate until now that is.
Killian jones had changed Emma’s whole world. Who was she kidding? He flipped it on its ass and watched in amusement as she tried to acclimate. They really had been to hell and back and somehow survived everything intact. Well, completely intact might be stretching it, but they were still together, still had their memories, and they were on the same page.
Under normal circumstances, Emma would have been grateful for that and left well enough alone, but here? In this place? Emma wasn’t sure they both would stay here, or what would happen once they returned home. She decided to make the most of the time that they had here, which made her smile at the dream that she had last night.
She had a dream about promises made, promises that she never thought that she would make with anyone and as she woke she realized that there was no one else that she could imagine making those promises with.
She laced their fingers together, resting her cheek against his shoulder as they passed a cave.
“I wonder what’s in there?” She asked, looking at Killian without moving too much.

The cave isn't marked on his map, so it must be on hers. "Go in and take a look."

She trusted Killian more than anyone else, so she looked around before spotting something glinting in the darkness.
"What is this?" She asked, creeping over to the glint, and reaching out for the box.
no subject
"I don't know what's in there or how it got there." Which is why he follows her in, so he can see what it is.

Her brows furrowed together as she drew closer to the glinting. She leaned down and picked up a small box turning it over in her hand before looking at Killian with wide eyes after spotting the tag.
"What is this?" She whispered softly.
no subject
"There's an easy way to find out. Open it and see."
no subject
She opened the box, and stared at the ring in wonder. Her eyes going from Killian to the ring and back again. She didn't understand, well she did, but she didn't let herself use that part of her brain that often.
no subject
"Huh. That's how that worked out."
no subject
"What do you mean?" She asked, not daring to hope but hoping anyway.

"I never could imagine myself having this, until you taught me how to love myself just as I am. I'm a little battered but that's okay right?" She said smiling.
"Isn't there usually a question?"
no subject
He reaches over to cup her face. "I've known was I was getting with you from the start. I'm not exactly unblemished myself. It's why we work." They can accept each other as flawed individuals.
"Emma, I want to spend the rest of my future with you. Will you spend it with me?"
no subject
"I love you Killian Jones. Yes, yes I will."
no subject
"It sounds like we have some more exploring to do."
no subject
She pulled back still smiling, as she linked her fingers through his again. "We do. Where to next Captain?"

She couldn't worry about that now though, because it was done and decided. There was nothing that she would change even if she could. "I think that is the best idea you've had today. Shall we?"
