[MINGLE] Worried/Sick 2: Snake Expedition & Recovery!

Not putting any mod top-levels in this one — Just make sure you label your own top-level clearly as to whether it's Expedition or Recovery, and as always, whether it is OTA or not!

Ashley has been burning the candle at both ends since this started. Not that she's one to take things slow before any of this, but now that all of this illness is going around, she is doing the best she can to help others and throwing herself into things to help.

Then, just as it looks like they've found a possible solution, Ty gets brought back bit by a snake.

So she shifts her focus. Yeah, it comes with a bit of guilt, but family came first and at this point, that's what Ty is. He's her roommate, and her friend, and if he's in need, she's there for him.

Even if it means hauling him back into the bed, muttering about how wrong it is to consider tyeing him down. Though he keeps it up, and she may.

"Come on, Ty. I just need you to rest. I know it sucks but you've got to rest," she sighs, her bedside manner sucking so bad and she knows it.

"I'm fine." Ty said stubbornly, but the fact that he couldn't put up much of a fight when AshleIy steered him back to the bed made his argument moot. "I'm fine Dee, you always worry too much."

It probably didn't help that he wasn't really looking at Ashley, seeing someone else. For better or for worse, Ashley had quickly grown to be one of his closest friends here, and it just echoed the best friend he'd left behind. Delilah had gotten out of New York, he knew it, but he hadn't been able to make sure that she had found somewhere safe to stay, his warning or no. It didn't help that she wouldn't treat Ty with a delicate bedside manner either.

"I can't just lay here when other people need help. You of all people should understand that."

"You're nt..." She stops when he says that name, finding herself curious and knowing that she is going to ask later to see just who that is. That's for later though, when he remembers who Ashley is instead of this Dee.

Until then, she could play along and make sure he's okay. That was definitely going to come first.

"Yes, you can. You're sick, and we don't know how it's passed on. Do you want to take that chance?" Arching a brow, putting that out there and knowing that it's unfair to play that card, but hoping it will work. He really needs to not risk himself, and for not only the sake of others, but for her peace of mind.

The problem with arguing with Delilah was that it was a lot like arguing with a wall, except the wall was a tiny petite woman whose logical arguments hit harder than bricks. Ty was hard pressed to remember any times that he had gone toe to toe with her and won. Because not only did she have logic on her side, but she looked out for others too. It would be annoying if Ty didn't try to operate the same way.

He met her gaze for a few moments, mouth pulled into a mullish frown, before he settled back in bed.

"What are you doing here? You should be as far away from ground zero as possible. If anything happened to you..." He paused, pressing his hands into his eyes, feeling tired. "But I guess I can't be surprised. All of you stayed when you should have been somewhere safe."

Oh and it's only getting worse. She is not the empathetic person, the one that's good at handling things like this. This is why she wishes Helen Magnus was there. She is amazing with people. Ashley is good with weapons.

"I will... I'll go once you're in bed, and safe. Okay? I'll be safe, but I need to make sure you're okay first."

She's not sure if this woman would say that, or if she's even alive, but if she can get him into bed, that's what matters.

"Ty... Please? For me?" God, she's going to really hate herself later.

Even if the delivery was a bit odd, Delilah was the kind of person who put others before herself. It was what made her a good leader and friend, but it was also why Ty worried about her so much. But he couldn't argue with her when she said please, all fight out of him like snow melting underneath the sun.

"You always look after everyone else. You should let someone look after you." He said pointedly, if a bit sleepily, holding out his hand to her.

"Are you staying?"

Staring at him for a long time, she finally sighed as she moves to step closer. Her fingers close around his, curling her fingers against his and stepping in next to his bed.

"I'll stay, Ty. I'll watch over you and then you'll know I'm her and I'm safe," she says, thinking that might help him to relax. "But only if you sleep. Okay?"
