This morning, our intrepid villagers awoke to a surprise of the nicer kind: A bundle of clothing left at the foot of their bed, tied with a bow. There is also a note: Put on your new outfit and join the festivities in the corn field next to the inn.

You may be thinking, what corn field next to the inn? The one that sprung up fully-mature overnight, of course.

In the middle of the field, villagers will find an autumn feast: Tables piled with harvest time food and drink, warm and rustic decorations, the day's sunshine fending off any chill in the air.

Tuck in and enjoy, villagers, but take note: Things often look different in the dark, and you might be one of them.

"I'm glad for that then, because I'd hate to give you my jacket if you weren't even going to appreciate it." Ty said, zipping up his jacket a bit pointedly. He was definitely one of those people who got cold far too easily, or at least complained about it too much.

"I was thinking about having a card game night, if you were interested. I can let you know if it gets off the ground." Ty offered, crinkling his nose slightly at the taunt. "With your advanced age, is all of that even still functioning?" Ty shot back, mock concerned.

"Aren't you just the gentleman," Bobo chides, though he's amused by Ty as he often is. Not everyone keeps up with him as well, or gives as good as they get. Both are points in the kid's favor.

"I would definitely be interested. Count me in," he says, laughing though because there it was again. He's entertaining, Bobo'll give him that. "Advance age brings knowledge, wisdom, and a lack of morals to go along with all the parts and pieces working just fine, thank you."

"I try. Manners go a long way you know." Ty sad with a grin, pleased when he got Bobo to laugh again. Even if he was making a face at the idea of 'working parts', so maybe Bobo's calling him 'kid' might have some basis.

"Okay, I get it, we're hedging into too much information territory. I'm stopping you there before this somehow devolves into wacky hijinks where you feel like you need to prove your virility. I believe you."

"Do I act as if I think manners get me anywhere?" It was a snarky challenge, and giving him a look to complete the sarcasm.

"Never had to prove it, but the stories might be harmful to you," he admitted. "Some just can't handle it." And of course insinuating that Ty was definitely someone that couldn't, though he might think that of all people that hadn't been through all he has.

"For all I know, those are a version of demonic manners. Or a very outdated model." Ty stated solemnly, mouth quirking up slightly.

He scrunched up his face slightly at the naked challenge in Bobo's voice, looking him up and down pointedly. "If this is your way of starting gay chicken, you'll have to do better than that. I've had worse." Probably not but really, there were worse challenges to meet.

"Oh we're not letting go of the old jokes, huh? Keep it up, and I'll sick Wynonna on you," he says, giving Ty a slow once over. "I'd say you're her type, but you're breathing so..."

Sniffing though making a face at him. "And on that note, I think I need a drink. Try and stay out of trouble. And if not, make sure you make a spectacle of yourself."

"Gross, say no more." Ty said, waving a hand to cut him off before he heard anything more. Though now that he thought about it, wasn't Wynonna the girl he'd met lamenting about not being able to get lucky here? Best not think too deeply about it then.

He laughed at the face that Bobo made at him, slapping his shoulder companionably.

"I would say the same to you, but you'd probably enjoy it if you did. See you around."
