The urgent warnings come from villagers returning south from the lake: a creature twice the size of a man, antlered and voracious. Larger than any they've seen on the plains, stalking its way to the main village. Some might have their own names for this hunger in a skin of shadow; others might remember that it was the first to claim a life, in their village's short history.

Whatever context one has for it, best to secure all pets and loved ones before it arrives. With weapons and food stores at the inn, the call goes out to gather — And to bring back any tools, because there's no telling what doors and windows can do to stop such a creature.

"Wow. You're actually him. Guy with the glowy fist?" Kamala really doesn't know as much about the street level superheroes as she does the big ones. As far as she knows? Iron Fist is the glowy hand guy who shows up with Power Man a lot. She quickly refocuses because that is a good question. "Sort of? I do a lot of running and some push ups. I only ever trained when I had that powerset so I don't know how to do it without that. I've just been going with what I can remember from high school gym."

Danny smiled. "Uh, yeah. I am." This was the first time he'd met someone who knew who he or the Ironfist was. It was an amazing feeling.

He shook his head, running his palm though his thick curls. "That isn't training." That would help with her stamina but it wouldn't help her in the long run. "What you need is inner strength. It'll help you when you have your powers back too. I can teach you but I'll be hard. Are you up for it?" She could always say no, it was a choice, but he thought that he could help her.

"If you want." He added a little awkwardly as he picked up the last large piece of wood.

Kamala nods at the training part. She didn't really think so. It's the best she can do as a teenager with no internet access. The rest has her lighting up like a Christmas tree. This is an excellent opportunity. The fact that he doesn't think she'd immediately say yes is kind of crazy. "If I want...?! Look I was sold on getting some actual training hard or not before I knew you were the guy with the glowy fist!" She quickly settles down if only so he knows she's taking this seriously. Kamala talks in what's closer to an inside voice for her. "I can totally put in the hard work. I take what I do back home really seriously. I want to get better at it." Inner strength will do that, she thinks.

Danny liked her enthusiasm but more than that, he liked how she tempered her excitement. She had some control over her emotions while would help her in a fight. "Good." He had a few people interested in learning but none who showed the promise that Kamala has during their short conversation.

"I'm looking for a space here. Maybe turn a house into a Dojo. When I do, I'll contact you. If you'd like to meet before then, tell me when and we can start lessons near the river." Danny found it a quiet place where people didn't walk by enough to be a distraction.

Kamala thinks it over. She wants to do the impulsive thing and say right now. It finally feels like she's making progress on fixing something that's been bothering her. She quickly remembers they do have a job here. It'll probably stretch out over the village. She should give that her energy before working on herself. "Can I start next week?"

Danny nodded his head. "Yeah. Meet me outside the inn after breakfast." He was usually done his morning routine by then and he'd have time to help Kamala in the daylight.

"Deal!" Kamala bounces a little even though that isn't accurate. She actually has nothing to offer here. When has that stopped her before? "But, okay! Back to cleaning. Focus, Kamala." She'll spend the rest of the time working on getting this place cleaned up.
