The urgent warnings come from villagers returning south from the lake: a creature twice the size of a man, antlered and voracious. Larger than any they've seen on the plains, stalking its way to the main village. Some might have their own names for this hunger in a skin of shadow; others might remember that it was the first to claim a life, in their village's short history.

Whatever context one has for it, best to secure all pets and loved ones before it arrives. With weapons and food stores at the inn, the call goes out to gather — And to bring back any tools, because there's no telling what doors and windows can do to stop such a creature.

Bull looked up from fiddling with his wristband and trying to figure it out. Then he gives the other a smile and a nod.

"Evening. Good might be stretching it. Everything going alright?"

"It doesn't come off, I've already tried a few ways." He commented idly, noticing the other fiddling with the wrist band. He looked down to the record book and started to flip pages.

"A fine point, but I was aiming to be polite." He admitted, keeping the same almost bored but not unpleasant, tone. "So far, yes, everything seem's to be going as well as can be expected. My name is Vergil, I hadn't had a chance to introduce myself when I came in." He was curious about this bull-human hybrid creature.

"The Iron Bull." Bull reaches over and offers his hand. "I don't like things that don't come off. But mostly I am trying to figure out how it works. We don't have stuff like this where I am from."

"Quite the name, are you part iron or is it simply part of your name?" He asked in an curious tone, moving closer to shake the other's hand. He was always eager to learn something new.

"I am inclined to agree, but, I can help teach you to use it if you want. I am not only from a world with technology like this, but I've made my life out of technology, it's my area of expertise." He explained as he looked down at his own wrist.

"It is a part of the name. Implies strength. Same with the bull. I chose them for that reason. When you're a mercenary a name like that is important."

He glances down at his wrist. "I was shown that I can send messages, but that is about it so I won't say no to an introduction. And what do you mean you've made your life out of technology?"

"That, indeed, makes perfect sense. So you are a mercenary?" He questioned as he stepped closer so he could look at both his own, and Bull's wrist bands. Just to make sure they are indeed the same.

"I can show you more, it's not so hard with some practice. It would be better if we could have voice functions but alas." He spoke with a wave of his other hand. "My world is very technologically driven. I started a business before I finished school for computer security. I did very well for myself. It also helps that I am better with machines than people... but another day for that." He spoke as he leaned next to Bull, holding his writs up. "So, you know how to message. Did they show you how to make a message private, or send out a distress signal?" He spoke

"Yeah. I ran a mercenary company. I was also a spy for the Qunari but that... well, that gig is over." He glances over at Vergil as the other comes over and holds up his wrist device to be next to his.

"What is a computer?" Then to show the other what he knows he writes a quick message. "The guy said something about picking one of the names here if you wanted to send it to just one person. How do you make it a distress signal?"

"Sounds like an exciting life, if you ask me. I would love to hear about it someday... though maybe not while we are under attack." He admitted, as he looked over Bulls and his own. Both close enough.

"A computer... is a machine, but also like a brain in a way. They think when you make the right codes. Its all codes and numbers but they are quite amazing." He figured from the mans demeanor if he didnt know what a computer was he wouldn't know what a TV was, so it was the best he had. "Yes, you get the names here. Just click this." He pointed to the spot on the small screen then to the distress symbol. "And this is your distress button. I have not messed with it yet I confess, but this is where it is."

Bull nods. "Good to know. And you're right, the details can wait until after this whole thing is over." He motions to the door and with it the outside. He takes a breath and sighs. "Provided we get through this. But that shouldn't be an issue."
