WHO: Erik Lehnsherr
WHERE: The Fountain and the Inn
WHEN: January 2nd
OPEN TO: Emma, Logan, and all: There will be locked threads for Emma and Logan, but feel free to start your own at either location after that
WARNINGS: Anger and people flying through the air
STATUS: Open
I. Drowned rat
This is wrong. One more item on the list of things in his life that have not turned out the way he wanted them to. His first thought is of the fountain in Paris, but that was ten years and three countries ago. Wherever this fountain is, it's not in Paris, and it's definitely not the woods behind his house in Poland.
The first thing he notices when he pulls himself out of the fountain – other than that he was right, it's neither Paris nor Poland – is how cold it is. To-the-bone cold, and he's wet and only dressed in –
What the hell is he wearing?
II. Grumpy rat
He's finally calmed down a little (enough to stop causing any more bruises, anyway) and had it suggested to him that he might want to start at the inn. Or maybe he'd just been told that to make him someone else's problem. He could see it happening that way.
He's not an idiot though. He knows how important it is to find somewhere warm first, with the weather being what it is, and if the inn is where people are, it stands to reason that it's also somewhere warm. Maybe somewhere to start getting some answers, too. There's somewhere he needs to be, and this is not it.
He pushes open the door to the inn and finds himself a table at the back while trying to draw too much attention to himself. (Which is probably hard, given how obnoxiously bright his clothes are.) He sets the backpack down on the table and starts to examine its contents. A black coat, good, and the denim overalls are still a bit ridiculous, but at least he has some options other than what he's got on.

Closed - for Emma
He doesn't hear someone approaching him.
Re: Closed - for Emma
"Oh sorry!"

Which is what causes his instincts to kick in, and when that happens, he whirls to face whoever it is that touched him and pushes the metal away so that she finds herself flying through the air, although not very high off the ground or very far away. Landing won't hurt much.

"Hey!" She said, as she swept her hand up and to the side, gently pushing Erik into a bank of snow. "What is wrong with you?" She asked getting up and moving over to him, offering him a hand because she is Emma and that is who she is.

Closed - for Logan
The fact that the next person just happens to be the most magnetic thing for miles around, and Erik can feel him coming, is doubly unfortunate.
no subject
Not only was the person pulling people in a moron, but Logan hasn't gotten over what Erik did to him in Washington. That much is damn obvious in the way he looks at the other mutant.
Like he's about to charge.
Now, Logan doesn't realise it quite yet because the fact he was slowly turning into a walking, talking magnet hadn't been noticed. It takes that running start to notice that it almost felt like someone was pushing him forward from behind. Someone strong and certainly not Erik because he'd feel that, too.
Even once he figured out that something was wrong, Logan couldn't stop himself from propelling forward.
no subject
Sorry, Logan. Erik has a lot of concerns right now, and your hissy fit over a dunk in a river is nowhere near the top of that list of concerns. He raises his arm, hand extended, as if to push Logan away. It's a gesture they're both familiar with. Despite the fact that something is pulling Logan in, Erik is still successful in pushing him away. Farther and harder than when it had happened to Emma. There's more to work with this time, and it doesn't take much for Logan to end up flat on his back a good distance away from the fountain.
"So that's what happens when they're metal."
no subject
So, Erik still had some of his powers, too. Great.
When Logan landed, the air was knocked out of him a bit. He scowled, face up to the sky and instead of get up first, he simply called out.
"I wouldn't get used to throwing your weight around here. You're under someone else's mercy."

Now the question was if he would recognize her.
Rising up to her feet, she moved over to his table with the still curious look accompanied by a small, polite smile. "Hey, you doing okay?"
no subject
"I'm in a place I don't know, where I don't know how I got here or how long I'll be forced to stay. To arrive here, I was dropped in a fountain and I'm currently dressed in something that makes me look like a bottle of upset stomach medication. What do you think?"
no subject
"You're right about the clothes, though. Wow." She blinks at him. "Those are very bright."
no subject
Now that he's satisfied with the contents of his backpack, he takes a better look around at the room he's in. "This is quaint."

I. after Logan
She didn't expect to see Erik Lehnsherr there, though, and her first, immediate response was to try and reach out with her mind. It was weak and unpredictable, not the way she normally managed it, but she sent out a tendril with just his name to let him know that she knew him.
Erik. Erik, it's me. It's Jean Grey. I'm one of Charles' students.
no subject
"Where are you? Who's doing that?" He sees a few women around. It could be any one of them.
no subject
A powerful mutant like Erik wasn't someone who was going to be comfortable with just accepting being trapped by this place and Jean thought that with him and Logan both, they might stand a chance of getting out of here. Both of them were more physically powerful than she was.
no subject
He knows she could hear any reply he gave in his head, but he doesn't want anyone in his head right now. "How is it that you know me but I don't know you?"
This is an unfamiliar situation to him. He hasn't discovered the phenomenon of different points in time yet.

She jumped back when a man broke the water’s surface, her heart pounding as she watched him pull himself from the mountain.
She waited a few moments, staring at him and then glancing away awkwardly. She wasn’t exactly sure what to say in this situation. She was dressed similarly, in a thick jacket and clunky boots. She didn’t like it but it was warm and she wasn’t used to the cold.
"Are you- okay?" Moana spoke slowly, her hands moving with each word.
no subject
"I could do without all the cold and snow. And the sudden change in location."
no subject
"There is a jacket in the bag." She pointed, taking a small step towards him and catching her foot on the sidewalk. Moana was still getting used to wearing shoes which was why she stumbled forward. Luckily she caught herself before face planting into the concrete. She already found out that it hurts.

"Have a bit of the tea, it will keep you from becoming sick." She told him softly. "There isn't much that I can offer in the way of answers, I'm afraid, but if I could help you somehow, please tell me?"
no subject
He's a little surprised at the number of people who have been helpful for no reason so far, but he doesn't think there's anything menacing in it. Which is also something new. He takes a sip of the tea and pulls the blanket and towel closer. From what he's seen of his place so far, it's not a place where he wants to be getting sick.
no subject
"I'm Margaery." It wasn't enough to make him feel at ease, but she hoped to at least to give him something. No matter how small it was.

"Now, we need no lighthouse," is what he says, gaze sliding down over the very bright colour that will make sure that in the event of a fog, Cougar knows who he wants with him.
no subject
"Is that supposed to be funny?" It's not like he chose to wear this color.
