The iteration is concluded. Participants have 30 days to choose their next destination, or be assigned their home universe as default. Thank you for your participation.

It had been an unexpected wrench thrown into the gears, grinding daily routine to a halt as hope bloomed in her chest — Brigitte had closed down the forge for a while to tackle that question, to talk to the other smiths and smithterns (who are hers now, she supposes, hers and Pepper’s). She’s taken a few days, close to a week, to mull over it.

There wasn’t really any doubt, though. Her parents and all her older siblings. Overwatch. Her teammates. She needs to go home. And her roommate Aqua was the first person she thought of, the one she wistfully wanted to keep — but Aqua had friends to get back to, Terra and Ven and the world they’d saved. To keep her was selfishness. And it was the same with all of Brig’s other friends: they had siblings, found family, villains to face and wrongs to right. Unfinished business. Places to be.

But then. There were two. Disillusioned with their Project, and with little but each other.

Brigitte might have appreciated the hike north to clear her head and gird herself for the question she’s about to ask, but two and a half hours is too long, so she rides the fast-travel pod over to the north village and to the agents’ house. Fidgets on their front doorstep for a moment, before knocking on the door, sharp and authoritative.
