He's found the interesting little vending machine during one of his sojourns out and about.
It's a pretty little thing, but it is interesting that of all the powers within it, not a single one appears to be his. It's only further evidence to him that Dad doesn't want him to have proper fun, though at least he can have some sort of a good time. It's also a shame no one thought to stock the vending machine with at least one row of Twinkies. If you're going to have the technology, you might as well best use it.
He's whistling and chipper as he selects rapid regenerative healing and makes a note to come back for some of the other extremely helpful powers that are on display. Once he's pressed the button, he now needs to make the more important discovery and see if it's worked.
No time like the present.
He recalls seeing the geese-like animals near some of the bodies of water, which is perfect. It's not so large that if this healing hasn't kicked in, he'll be dead, but he also knows that geese at home are vicious enough that he'll have quick success if he does this right. It's not far before he finds some milling about the river, looking fretfully calm. If Lucifer has a talent (of which he has many, but this is paramount), it's being able to annoy something into a rage.
"Come on, then!" he demands, shouting loudly and splashing them with water, getting right into their little fiendish faces to agitate them. "I know you're Dad's least favourite creatures," he taunts. "Come and do something about it, will you?" He's ever closer, making loud noises against each of their squawks, and eventually, enough noise, flapping of his arms, and splashing does the trick.
The nearest one lunges for him with an intent to bite and bite it does, sinking its teeth into Lucifer's skin. He lets out a howl of surprise, tinged with delight, and steps back to see if that will do the trick, looking at the punctured skin with eager fascination.
To anyone looking in from the outside, maybe they would think that he's lost his mind, but Lucifer might just have a way to get part of his powers back and he's thrumming with the excitement of it, staring at his arm like it's treasure and not just a nasty goose bite.

"Hey," she calls out instead, if only so he knows someone is watching and maybe thinks about how this looks. "Stop bullying the wildlife!"

This one is a bit young, though, and while he may be the devil, he does abide by plenty of self-imposed rules. Waving his hand to make the sting go away, he thinks that should do, so he steps away from the goose. "Unless you're offering to beat me up? I just need a few bruises and wounds," he says eagerly, unlike most sane people who are trying to avoid that.
no subject
"Wow, you could at least buy me dinner first." Then again, she definitely hit her last boyfriend in the face with a brick the very first time they met. It's a soft rule, apparently.
"You do know there are easier ways, right?"
no subject
He pushes both hands out, giving her an encouraging look. "See? It's already healing, I need to test a deeper wound, a bigger injury," Lucifer demands. "I need to know I'm not vulnerable, anymore!"

"I don't know what you're thinking sir, but you should probably get back a bit before it takes another bite."
no subject
He's baiting it, yet, waving his arms about like an idiot and wanting to ensure that he won't have to do this again, sometime down the line. "I needed something vicious, a goose seemed the best choice."
no subject
"You want something vicious, piss me off over how stupid you are to get hurt," Nida chides.
Meanwhile the goose apparently determines they haven't backed off enough, flaring it's wings wide to lunge in. And Nida just spins the spear and raps the bird over the head. Not enough to knock it out, enough to have it flinch back.
"Back off, goose, or you're dinner."
In fact, to further the point he gestures and a burst of wind runs past them, forcing the bird back further.
no subject
Certainly not the devil that he is.
"Fine, no goose, it'll have to be you. Hurt me," he invites, eyes wide with the hope that he'll get his way.

Only to find this man harassing a goose. For a long moment, she just stands there, watching the spectacle as the goose lunches in, biting him.
"That's one point for the bird," she says, folding her arms over her chest. "You gonna let him get the better of you like that?"
no subject
It's not like home, then. He's not impervious to harm, because the bite is there, but he sees it already healing. It's worked, hasn't it? It's actually worked.
no subject
"Did you check with the inn's notes? I mean, what if it's saliva is healing?"
Smirking then a bit, shrugging as she strolls closer. "I mean, I am trained at hurting people," she admits. "So if you really want to be hurt, I'm willing to give it a try," she says. "What's the catch? How bad do you plan to hurt me in return? Sorry but I'm not into pain. At least receiving."
no subject
At the same time, where's proof if not in the pudding?
He needs to actually see it happen. "No hurting, I'm a man of my word," he guarantees. "I've been put through more pain than you can even imagine, I assure you, what you do to me will be a fraction in comparison."

Today, he's out walking on the other side of the river when he stops after noticing a guy leaning over and taunting a goose. And it sounded every bit as crazy watching it as it would trying to imagine it happening.
John will just stand there watching Lucifer until he's noticed because it's both amusing and intriguing, but part of him wants to see the guy fall into the river for the sake of karma on the geese's part.
no subject
Waving his bitten hand, he now waits for it to heal, noticing that he has a very handsome audience, suddenly. "If you're here to antagonize the goose, I'm afraid you'll have to get in line. I might need a second go, depending on how this goes."
no subject
And when it finally happens and Lucifer looks up, the hitman lifts a hand to signal a pass, though he can't help but ask, "Depending on how what goes?"
Something tells him he's just started a conversation that maybe he shouldn't have. Mostly because the guy looks pretty unhinged.
no subject
"Now that I've bought healing, I need some way to test it and what better way than to anger one of Dad's most vicious animals," he says, with a gesture at the goose. "Now, be a dear and anger it, will you?"

"Yes, that's my name, can't be worn out," he agrees, shaking his hand to try and rid some of the pain.

Whelp
He's very confused and his eyes widen when they lunge for him, instantly moving forward as if he has any possible answer to how to help him. Leonardo can hardly be a hero in any situation, but his instinct is to at least try. "Lucifer!" They may be harmless creatures, although in this place they could be dangerous as well! "What are you doing?" He's openly concerned, trying to check if he was harmed by the attack.
no subject
"Don't scare it off, I might need it to bite me again," he warns, staring down at the imprints of vicious teeth in his skin, which is bruising and a touch bloody, but seems to be fading away. Unable to help it, he begins to smile, slowly.
Yes, that's just what he's after. "I bought myself a little treat, I had to come out and test it."
no subject
He looks baffled, blinking. "What?" Has he lost his mind? Leo stops a reasonable distance away at Lucifer's request, just looking from him to the animal to back again. Leonardo doesn't know about the powers in the bunker yet. He's heard a lot of information since getting there, but not all of it, and he's only recently adjusted to the powers he currently has. "Bought yourself what?"

Except it looked like Lucifer had beat him to the punch. Except... for some reason he'd decided to try to start a fist fight with them? And looked to be pretty delighted about it.
"You know there's no vaccines here, right?" Could geese carry rabies? Hell if he knew.
no subject
He also thinks if he gets that nickname again, he'll be the one biting and hissing. "It's Lucifer, I'm not a faerie," he says sharply, because he might be a fallen angel, but even that's pushing the line on things he's willing to be called.
no subject
"You got wings and magic, come from a deity and maybe are one too. By my world's standards you're a faerie. You gonna eat that when you're done pissin' it off?" Because he'd like to eat it.
