FOR BULL

Hawke likes a lot of things about being there. For one, she always feels useful. For two, she doesn't have to be in charge. For three, she gets to meet all kinds of people. For four, some of them are people she already wanted to get to know better. It's very easy to volunteer to partner up with Bull during patrols, as he is simply marvelous company and it is occasionally nice to spend time with someone from her own world. Less people to question phrases or terms she says. Varric was right about Bull being someone their group would have liked.

"So I got Wicked Grace decks out of no where the other day, I was thinking of teaching people how to play." She has her bow slung over her shoulder. "Also my official bow, but it was broken up into a set. It shouldn't be that hard to put it together with some help."

FOR FINNICK

Hawke gets it in her head to go check in on Annie, the first person she met in this odd place, after seeing some of the native birds and thinking of those adorable little geese. Also to let her know a bit about the extra meat just brought in, in case she wanted any. It wasn't too hard to ask around and describe the woman enough to get directions, and that's how she ended up at the Windemere house.

Her dark hair is braided and her bow is left behind for now, peering around. "Oi, Annie, you around here, love?" She didn't know that she'd be meeting a different member of the family altogether.

FOR FRANK

Hawke found a reasonable set of gloves that worked with her bow, although they would never be as good as gloves that were specifically designed for an archer. But they were tolerable. Which is good, because Hawke goes out in the field enough to need it for when everything is colder. She picked up some other warm things to get by, but she found that they're simply not cutting it on her latest patrols and scouting. She heard around that Frank was the man to see about getting some warmer things without having to share them with everyone else, so she got directions to his place.

It was day time and cold, but sunny at least. She was sans bow and arrows since that was only necessary when she planned on using them. Hawke knocks on the door.

FOR ELEKTRA

Hawke is delighted to find several gifts waiting for her one morning, including beloved daggers and decks of Wicked Grace. The daggers however she simply has to immediately show off, even if it'll take a bit before she can come up with a good harness or set of sheaths for her back. She has a particularly chipper skip to her step today, wandering into the village to see who she could catch. She spots a familiar dark head from not too far away.

"Elektra!" Hawke gets warm fuzzies whenever she sees people she has good memories with. She has this gut feeling that Elektra would approve of these finely crafted matching daggers. "Look at what was randomly delivered to me over night!"

OPEN TO ALL

Hawke is someone easy to spot and meet around the village. She has lunch at the inn every day and will chatter at anyone there. She as usual can be found at the fountain here and there in case someone shows up, but she is now working on her sewing instead of creating arrows. She sometimes has some mischief and bathes nude in the hot springs. It gets cold out there! She's shameless. Finally she just generally scouts around the perimeter of the village, especially at night, with her knives and bow. She is very friendly. Just say hi. Or run while you can.

She grins. "Seems like we both had an exciting delivery. Yeah we don't want them to get better than us. That'd be embarrassing after all these years." Hawke glances up at him. Very up, because he's giant. "Can't wait to take you on, I'd love to see how good of a bluffer you are." She has a suspicion he'd be a very good one. Varric's tells she knew by heart, although he swore up and down he had zero. Hers were near non-existent.

He laughs. "You can take me on any way you want, you know that Hawke." He places a hand on her shoulder. "Who would you want in on the game? I got some cocoa too so we can have that as well. And with enough people it would be a really great night."

Hawke laughs too. "You flirt almost as much as I do. Although neither of us can go anywhere near Zevran." The elf was a machine. A delightfully sexy machine of which she'd taken advantage of several times. "I had a little thing with him back in our world, but he is from earlier so you can imagine my initial confusion and insult thinking he didn't remember." Hawke's always able to laugh at herself. Life was (literally) too short not to.

"My housemate Reyes for certain. You're going to love him. Handsome and slick. I'm certain Dorian and Zevran would want to play. Not sure about Tony, but we can ask him." He was going through a Thing. "We could get a few games going once people actually learn how. Though nothing really to bet."

"Almost? I have to step up my game, Hawke." Bull laughs but then nods in agreement. Zevran can be quite extreme. Of course Bull enjoys that about the elf. "I can, I would not be happy if Dorian had forgotten all about me. Even if it turns out he just hadn't had the pleasure yet."

"Yeah, handsome and slick does sound like my style, doesn't it? Bobo maybe. Alex would... well, it would be stealing candy from a child." He shrugs. "Any game can be played as a strip version."

"I am positive your game is exceptionally high. Mine is mostly just flirting. I'm great at that, not actually great at seduction, which is hilarious if you think about it." Hawke laughs and clearly doesn't mind mocking herself. She glances over at him at the Dorian part and smiles. "Oh that's why he was being coy. It was clear he was into you when we were talking, but he seemed reluctant to admit as much." She elbows him affectionately. "I bet he's had the pleasure now, hmm?"

Hawke winks. "It's my style too. I keep reminding myself not to have sex with my housemate. But he's so pretty." She invited him before she saw him. But she also generally likes him. Good bloke. Funny. "Science fellow Alex? Yeah he doesn't seem like a hard read." A cute one, but not a hard one. "Though I've been surprised before. Our little Merrill was all sweetness but once she got good at the game she cleaned us out occasionally."

"Oh he has. And well, Dorian likes to think he is in charge of everything around him. So for him to admit something like that would be a defeat. He is a weird one." Bull shakes his head but it is a fond smile on his lips. He likes the stupid magus.

"Who is your housemate again? And do you mind if I sleep with him?" Bull grins. "I don't think Alex is into guys. Otherwise, I'd been trying to get him to bed, maybe you'll have better luck. And isn't it best when the quiet ones clean you out."

"As someone who hates existing in emotional or sincere states, and prefers shallow friendliness, Dorian and I are of like minds." Hawke can admit she loves her friends, she's devoted to them, and her sister. But delve too deeply into her failures for her family, for Kirkwall, and Anders, and she gets more cagey. "He said something genuinely nice to me and we both felt awkward about it." She appreciated it though!

"Reyes, he's from the earth world but in their far future. Or a future version of it. It's sweet to ask if you can, but what if I say no?" Hawke winks. "I'm teasing, of course it's fine. As if I would rob either of you of a good time." There isn't a jealous or possessive bone in her body. "He's not really my type. Too cerebral. I like smart people, but the type of smart that excel at Wicked Grace, not academia." Hawke shrugs. "With one exception, Anders wasn't that type of clever. But he's a disaster so that's what I get for going outside of my type."

"So like Zevran or Varric is more your type, hm? If only Varric wasn't so damned into that crossbow..." Bull shakes his head. Then he glances over. "Anders was that mage right? I read some of those reports, interesting." Though he had only just started to see mages more as friends than as things at that point.

"Hm, what about Wynonna? She seems like someone you'd like and I bet she could play Wicked Grace."

"Zevran's my type, yes. Varric ... well, we both had a feeling that keeping entirely platonic was the safest way to keep our friendship the pure way it is." Hawke and Varric never had that conversation, precisely, but they understood one anther on a level no one else truly did. They could look at each other across a room and know instantly what the other was thinking or wanted.

"Yes Anders is that mage, the one that blew up the Chantry and started the Mage-Templar disaster." Hawke sighs. Will it ever stop hurting? Probably not. Years later and it still stung. "Not that it wasn't already a disaster waiting to happen." Or that it wasn't a disaster in the past too. There were a lot of warped things about the mage-templar relationship that all came to a head in Kirkwall, but she was responsible for Kirkwall, so that was the difference. "I was terribly in love with him, it was all very tragic."

"Yeah, I could see that. It was always obvious that Varric cared for you too." He listens to it and then nods. "Yeah, it sounded like it was all a big mess. It's something used to argue that the Qunari way is better back in Par Vollen. I am not so sure anymore but yeah."

He takes a breath. "I am sorry you got hurt though it though. That always sucks."

"We were inseparable, me and Varric. You could say he's my friendship soulmate. He told me all about the lot of you in letters, all addressed secretly and in code of course in case someone was looking for me." That's how she got to the Inquisition at all, before the Fade. They wasn't a single thing Varric knew that she didn't, when she asked for it. They might as well share a brain in many ways.

"It was a mess. Anders wasn't wrong in the sense that the mage and templar situation was deteriorating past any kind of fix, but he didn't need to intentionally give it that push. Because all it did was lead to more innocent deaths." It's not that Hawke never understood his reasons, but it didn't justify his choices. "Meredith planned on killing every single mage in the city. After what he did, she had support to do just that." She tried to find reasons to do it, she had to be handled either way, but it gave her all the fuel she needed.

Hawke sighs. "I didn't see it coming. I'm a terrible rogue."

"We're often blinded by love for people around us. I know that far too well." He had both been there himself and also seen it in others. "It doesn't make you bad at what you do." It does make Bull bad at what he does however.

"So what did he say about me huh? He promised he'd write about me one day."

"It did make me bad at protecting my city. And I live with it. Kirkwall is on the way to healing I think. It was already a mess from the refugee crisis and trying to survive after the Blight. It's a good place, when it's allowed to be." When it wasn't, it was a disaster, yes, but there was always potential. Just like the lot of them had potential. Hawke loved Kirkwall and she wanted it to be well as much as her friends and family.

Hawke smiles at him. "He said you were far more open minded and open hearted than he expected." Their limited experience with the qunari probably made them short sighted, but really knowing Varric he was worried more about a qunari near her than anything else. "He liked you and your company well, and would choose to spend time with you regardless of the Inquisition." Varric was a social dwarf and could talk with just about anyone, but it didn't mean he wanted to. And he purposely didn't put himself more on the line with the Inquisition. He was there for a job, not to make friends.

Bull smiles at that. "He is good at what he does, as well as a good guy. Some of his novels are unrealistic... well most of them if you ask me but sometimes people need that. And he's been a bit of a pain in the but to the Ben-Hassrath, been trying to get a line on him for ages." He chuckles. "You too though."

"He said he'd use some of my lines in a book one day. Maybe even write me in. That would be something huh, imagine Par Vollen once they get their hands on that." He laughs.

Hawke laughs. "His novels are very unrealistic, but it's intentional. He says everyone prefers the drama. The funniest part of him writing about me is the things that are true are often assumed to be embellishments, and embellishments apparently sound true." It may explain why Cassandra and others never really knew what to make of Hawke, of how much of it was real. It kept her alive, when no one would look at her on a road and think oh yes, this must be that Champion we've read about.

"He will absolutely add you in. He gets wonderful fodder from all of his friends." Hawke smiles. "I think he'd write about ten novels in this place, if he showed up. So many interesting and attractive people." He'd hate it in other ways, he never liked small towns or villages much, but the stories would be an easy sell. "Your legend would spread far and wide! You'd get laid even more often."

Bull nods. "I know. Him and I discussed it. He has a tendency to get the spying really wrong. I tried to get him to change it, but you know him. He can be really stubborn." But he smiles fondly at the stupid dwarf.

"That sounds good to me. I mean why go lonely to bed if you can help it."

"Oh I know. I have a tendency to get his work and write all kinds of criticisms and question marks and then send it to him. Even while on the run. I take my taunting seriously." She and Varric kept in private contact through all of his time with the Inquisition, and before that too. In that at least, he manages to be somewhat spy-like, but only adjacent. Not literally. "I had the best time with Swords and Shields, that terrible romance series." Ah, but she loved it all too.

"I go back and forth on that. I like sex, but I like my space too. I do miss waking up to Isabela, she made mornings very nice." Hawke grins mischievously. Ah her beautiful pirate.

Bull raised an eyebrow at that. It was something the Ben-Hassrath had suspected but been unable to get a good lead on. "Not sure I've read that one. Is it about what it sounds like?"

"And... Morning sex is half the fun of people sleeping over. And at least it keeps you nice and warm in the winter."

"Yes, it's a romance about a guard-captain that falls in love with a Templar knight-captain. He is slightly embarrassed about it, so feel free to taunt him when you see him again." If they see him again. Bull has slightly more likelihood of that than Hawke, unless Varric came here. She'd do anything to see her best friend again.

"Morning sex is nice. Outside of the breath. I took someone's virginity here the other day, that was fun. Nice lad, good heart, very attentive." Not everyone wants virgins, and it's not like she sought him out specifically because of that, but it was nice.

"Yeah? Who? Most of the people I've been with here have been quite experienced."

He shakes his head. "Well, are the sex scenes any good in it?"

"His name is Connor. Very tall, broad, beautiful brown skin, never would've thought he'd be a virgin, but he's quiet and subdued, acted like no one had ever hit on him before." She couldn't imagine why not, but sometimes these things happened.

Hawke grins. "They're pretty damn good, honestly. I think he's pent up. Let me see if I can remember one to share with you ...."
