After cooking for the Stark Expo, Frank had bailed pretty quickly thereafter, not wanting to stick around for the thank-yous and/or any derisive comments. He also really hadn't felt as though he had much to contribute to a "tech conference" even with no tech to be found. At first, he considers going to find that book Mark started with all the skills and scratching his name off every page, but he finds himself heading to the Lake instead.
Before he knows it, he's heading down to the Bunker and straight for that powers vending machine. He studies the choices for a long time, remembering his conversation with Kamala and wondering if this all isn't an elaborate trap. Maybe it does nothing? Just another way to mess with their minds. He's heard whisperings of people hearing one another's thoughts recently and decides he needs to pick something tangible. Something he can prove definitively worked or didn't work. His finger hovers over Animal Transformation, but then he swallows, steeling himself. To Hell with it, right?
It isn't Frank Castle who runs out of the bunker and back onto the surface, but a coyote. He will be easily spotted loitering outside House 6 like he's trying to figure out how to work a doorknob in this state. When he gives up, he goes to lay down in the backyard, like he's watching over the animals in the pen. The groffle and zalpaca graze on as if oblivious to a predator nearby. Perhaps because they sense it's not really a creature who intends them any harm. After a time, Frank nods off in that state and a croc-dog finds him, curling up under his chin to join in the nap.
Over the next week or two, people might spot the coyote who comes in close to the Villages, most often he'll be outside the Schoolhouse or the Inn but never does he try to venture inside or close enough to be caught. If someone catches his eyes, he'll run off towards the forest.
WILDCARD.

"I've been testing it," he admits, more as a blurt than anything else. Maybe he just wants Bruce to know that while he isn't cut out to lead anymore that doesn't mean he's resigning his position as 'human shield' any time soon. "And if it's safe... nothing to say we have to wait til shit hits the fan to use it as a resource."

She raises her hand, unable to suppress a smile at the rest even if she does pity Bruce finding powers to be a traumatic experience more often than not. "If having those powers scares you, I can handle it." She sounds proud of herself if only because it wasn't automatic. She spent countless hours putting the work in for this. Kamala appreciates that it isn't a skill that is simple to obtain for anyone. "I'm actually really good at controlling super strength. I used to use it a ton back home to fight bad guys. I stopped accidentally damaging stuff like month one!" She claps together in pride. She doesn't bring up the incident with putting a girl in the hospital after losing her temper. (In her defense, said girl was trying to murder people in the street.) She clearly remember it since it sobers her up pretty quickly.
Kamala gestures over to Frank with a more subdued smile. "Frank has a great point. We could do so many projects for winter if one of us had it for a while. If it doesn't hurt him, I should be fine too."

He smiles at Kamala's enthusiasm, and doesn't get defensive or deny that powers scare him, because they definitely do. He's not ashamed. He has every reason to distrust himself. "Both of you will definitely be better at it than I am. And if we rope in a few others, we could get ahead of things." That's what he was hoping this would lead to, and Kamala's quick desire to volunteer is why he thought of her in the first place. "I assume you two know a lot more about the powers that we apparently have? I was wondering if we should actively setting those off to learn to control them now, if that's even possible." Bruce has no idea what his are and how to use them, but obviously he's skittish of things happening all of a sudden.

One minute, Frank is standing there looking his hobo-dad self and the next it's like the Animorphs up in here. Cheeks grow even furrier and ears and snout grow long, his back arching as paws appear just in time to catch him on the ground. Finally, a scruffy tail grows out behind him, giving half a wag before he's sitting up straight so Bruce can take a look. Man into coyote, right before their very eyes.

"Oh my God! You got a super awesome ability, Frank! I'm so jealous!" She brings her hands to her cheeks and continues to gush. "You're so fluffy! I love it! Can I hug you? I want to hug you!" She glances over at Bruce. "Do you think it's okay to hug him like that?" He ought to know the rules. He turns into a giant green monster.
