As if following that thought, the controls in the room whirled to life and Wanda's still form appeared in the glass tube. Her eyes were closed, seemingly asleep, while her long dark hair fanned around her in a halo. She looked exactly the same as when Major had seen her last with the wears and tears she'd sustained in the village before her disappearance. Her hair was longer and her features leaner compared to the day that she had left the simulation.
The countdown started, ticking like a clock while her vitals flickered on the screen to his right.
Her pulse was steady and even.
This was how they had all apparently arrived but the tubes had been broke only a day before and an error had nearly killed six people. It looked as if it was functioning properly but was there a guarantee that Wanda would be sent to the fountain and not killed?
Had she been trapped in those tubes for all this time? Months by her account. Had there been other versions of her? She'd experienced it with Steve time and time again but she'd never thought that she'd find herself in this situation. A frown touched her lips as she stalled and stared at the familiar wooden door. She prayed that her room was in place, her clothes and her things. They weren't much but they were hers and she'd had told Clint to watch them should she disappear.
Even when she'd made those plans, she hadn't thought they would actually happen.
There was another long pause before Wanda stepped up and knocked at the door. She didn't know if anyone was still here or what else had changed but she hoped, like she'd never hoped before, that she hadn't lost the small family she'd grown to love.
She spent her morning at the house, keeping things tidy and feeding the ever growing collection of animals. Wanda doubted that Clint would have liked the idea of Wanda returning to her daily tasks so quickly but she was never the type who enjoyed sitting around and doing nothing.
With her morning tasks finished, she had headed towards the inn, helping with the tail end of lunch and cleaning before setting to her task of preserving the meats and fish that others had caught during the day and re-familiarizing herself with the kitchen.
Jon Stark had taught her how to preserve and handle a recent kill but it seemed as if he had disappeared. She didn't know if there were others who knew the process but she'd try and pick up whatever slack she could. Wanda could be found at various points in the kitchen: prepping meat, pausing long enough to grab a snack or cleaning up after she was finished.
It wasn't a pleasant activity, smell or sight, and she didn't blame anyone who walked into and then directly out of the kitchen as she worked. For those who could stomach the scene or caught Wanda cleaning up, they'd find her wearing a pair of light khaki pants with her long hair tied up at the back of her head in a ponytail. Her shirt was black and when the work got messy, she'd have an apron or over shirt on top of that to keep herself clean.
She wanted to collect her thoughts but she didn't think that she could in the house, sitting in her old room, on her old bed. With a heavy sigh, Wanda pushed herself up, grabbed some soap she had stashed months ago in her upper drawer and headed towards the hot spring. It was roughly in the same place as the simulation's spring though it took Wanda a little time to find it.
Maybe her memory was fuzzier than she thought…
Without hesitation, she pulled off her clothes and stashed them under a rock before grabbing the soap and sinking into the water. Her underwear was within reach if she needed it but otherwise she'd wash, rinse and take a moment or two to enjoy the warm water and the thick heavy scents of daisies from the soap. The sounds of the night chirped, scurried and shifted around her and she hoped that the moose or any other wild life would leave her to her private thoughts. The last thing she wanted to do was run into foxes again or whatever else this world might have thrown at them that she didn't know about.
How could she be gone for so long but not remember anything of that time? Had she been frozen in place? Was this how Steve had felt waking up in the 21st century?
Wanda closed her eyes, her thoughts riddled with questions as she tried to relax.
She will be wandering around and setting out in mini explorations/day trips as she gets used to the area again. Time hasn't passed for her but she hadn't had a good look at the new setting before she disappeared. Feel free to find her anywhere if you want to run into her and there isn't a prompt that works for you. She isn't opposed to pausing to see what someone is up to, saying hello or offering her help.
Also feel free to make Test Drive threads Canon but please let me know!
I will be gone from the 7th to the 16th on vacation but I will be prioritizing this post as much as I can.]

She weakly reached for the canteen, giving herself time to let her thoughts and memories fall back into place. Cool water coursed down her throat and Wanda shivered. Wherever they were, it was cold. She carefully rested the canteen against her chest and focused on the pieces of information she knew.
She was in a strange cave with Major and she was wet.
"Hey." Wanda felt incredibly exhausted but she managed a small smile as her light green eyes met Major's gaze. He looked a little paler than she remembered. "You found me but- where are we?" Why was she soaked through?

He can't help but match her smile when he sees that twitch of her mouth, and with another stretch and groan, he drags back a blanket - luckily still dry - and unfurls it. He lets it float back down on top of her.
"So, you're back .. in the village. That's probably obvious by now." He gives the room a long sweep with his gaze before looking back to her. "We're in this .. weird, new room. A .. what's the word." He snaps his fingers a few times, trying to recall. His eyes widen with realization as he remembers, "Bunker! We're in a bunker. Thing. Room. A couple of folks found it not too long ago, and .. there were people in these .. tubes. Like, have you ever seen Return of the Jedi? Because the tubes are kinda like what you see Luke floating in to get better after he escapes from Bespin. Only .. you didn't have to wear that weird diaper thing. You're in your scrubs."

She brought the canteen to her lips and took a deep swig as Major shifted and pulled the blanket over her thin frame. It didn't take long for Wanda to feel better though she honestly didn't feel all that compelled to stand.
Her brows furrowed as she gently placed the canteen to her side and tried to push herself to a seated position. Her head swam and she let herself fall back against Major. "You mean we're-" Her voice cut and she finally took a good look at the room around her. It was solid with technology she hadn't seen in the village before except for in the pods or the lab they had found. Her mind quickly worked through what she knew except that she had no idea how she got here.
"I saw that movie." She was kind of grateful that she was in more than just a dipper. "I never thought I'd be happy to be in my scrubs." Wanda smiled again and tried to get up. This time she moved slowly and used Major as a point of leverage.
"How did I get here?"
SO SORRY FOR DELAY
"Empire is my favorite, but I like Jedi, too," Major says with a gentle smile. He lets out a breath of a laugh at her comment about her scrubs. He had had conflicting feelings about being a bright, obnoxious raspberry again - though those feelings quickly changed once he realized Ravi was still here, and that Liv had also shown up in his absence. "That's .. the question of the hour. I think the current theory is that some folks are .. being diverted here? Instead of coming through the fountain like we used to?" A pause. "Unless you mean that in a more general sense. We're still figuring that bit out. Or maybe we've all just accepted it as a thing that happens. Personally, I .. haven't thought too much about it since I came back."
<3 You know ILU
Her fingers curled around his arm to make sure she was steady before taking a better look around the room. Her head was spinning but it wasn't enough to disorient her or have her stumbling back to the ground. It was a minor discomfort. "It's cold. Are we underground?" His reply made Wanda pause and turn to look at him. Major always had an interesting way with words and without meaning too, Wanda smiled at him.
"That's what I meant. Thanks for being here Major." Even if it was dumb luck.
ILU2!
Major kept a solid grip on her - not tight enough to hurt her, but secure enough to let her know that he wasn't going to let her fall or injure herself.
"Yeah, pretty far, as far as I know. You ever hear of those ... doomsday bunkers? Or the kinds of things that people built during the Cold War? That's .. sort of what this reminds me of, but .. with .. weird Star Wars tubes." He looks over the one that she'd come spilling out of only moments before. He meets her gaze with a kind, lopsided smile. "You would've been fine with anyone finding you, but .. I'm glad it was me that did."

Her gaze continued to case the area but there was very little that told them what their location was.
She eventually focused on Major. He was paler than she remembered but his arms were warm or... maybe she was just cold? There was a brightness and comfort that seeped into his features no matter how dire a situation was and she was looking at that now. He had a rare talent for making things easier than they ought to be. "Me too." Her fingers reached up to push back the wet strands of hair before she nodded towards the exit. "Should we find our way out?"
She didn't know what the weather outside was but her scrubs were wet and clinging to her and it wasn't very comfortable.

Right .. time to get back to what was actually important, Major.
"We should get you in front of a fire, if you think you're good to walk," Major says, giving her a quick and non-invasive once-over. He glances towards the entrance of the bunker, thinking about how long the trek was back to the surface. He looks back to her with a steely determination in his tone. "If you can't, I can carry you. We don't want you catching .. uh, what's that called? Hypothermia? We don't want that. We want to keep you as un-hypothermia-ed as possible."

Her arms wrapped around her stomach in order to stop herself from shivering. It was chilly underground.
"I think I can walk but thank you." Wanda gently squeezed his hand before pulling away and standing on her own two feet. She felt weighted and a little disoriented but she was determined to walk.
She really had no idea how far away the village was.
"How have you been?"
