The urgent warnings come from villagers returning south from the lake: a creature twice the size of a man, antlered and voracious. Larger than any they've seen on the plains, stalking its way to the main village. Some might have their own names for this hunger in a skin of shadow; others might remember that it was the first to claim a life, in their village's short history.

Whatever context one has for it, best to secure all pets and loved ones before it arrives. With weapons and food stores at the inn, the call goes out to gather — And to bring back any tools, because there's no telling what doors and windows can do to stop such a creature.

"Ironfist." The Bull reaches out to grab Danny's arm and pull him back. "Where do you think you're going?" He moves so he is between Danny and the door. "You're not going out there. We don't have any weapons to fight that thing." He keeps his hand on Danny to keep him at arm's length.

"You don't, I do." He meant his fists which right now weren't as intimidating as they were when he had access to the power of the Ironfist.

"I can't just stay in here and do nothing."

"And that thing has claws and can tear you to shreds. Ironfist, don't. We need you here." He nods towards the other people. "They need you. Besides the door is nailed shut."

A low growl rumbled through Danny's chest as he stared up at the Ironbull. He respected the man and the position that he had once held among his people but he didn't like the idea of him telling Danny what he could and could not do. "I'll get out a window." His voice was low and frustrated before he looked back at the others in the inn. Most of the people where hold brave faces but some looked so scared...

It bugged him.

"I can't do anything from in here." Danny turned and tried to pull himself away from the Ironbull. He would fight the man if that's what it took to get past him.

"Yes you can, Ironfist." The Bull stepped closer and lowered his voice. "You can show those people that you got their back, that you will keep them safe here. They listen to one of their own over someone who looks more like that monster out there than a human. Get them upstairs. Away from the doors and windows and we clear this space and make it one where we can make a stand if that monster gets in here."

Danny's voice lowered. "If that monster gets in here it's coming through the wall." As if on cue there was a crash at one of the windows. Danny didn't see who had been looking out at the beast but Danny dove forward and pulled them back.

"Fine!" He growled at the Ironbull. "We'll get everyone away from the windows. Not upstairs. The rooms are too spread out. Everyone should get in the kitchen. There aren't any windows and we can bared the back door if it isn't already." He wasn't happy with this but Danny wasn't going to stop trying to help.

"Good. See if you find anything we can use as weapons too." Bull lets go of him. He isn't worried about Ironfist growling at him. If they need to they can always work this out later. Right now he needs him to listen and to protect the people who aren't warriors here.

Danny nodded. "Check the kitchen. There are a few things in there. I'm going to go make sure the back door is secure." He might end up fighting one of the smaller Wendigo but he had told Bull he would help in the inn and Danny was a man of his word.
