A bridge over troubled waters [Event Log]
WHO: Margaery Tyrell and Emma Swan
WHERE: Fresh water spring
WHEN: 09/11
OPEN TO: None
WARNINGS: N/A
STATUS: Closed
The rotten egg smell had become a bit too much to take. Between the damage caused by the earthquake, the fact that their water had become disgusting (in terms of smell and quality) and the lingering trauma from the quake, staying in the village had become a bit too unbearable. Normally in her day, Margaery would explore the woods, gathering fruit and mushrooms for the others. However, since the earthquake, she could hardly bring herself to focus or think of anything but the memories the tremors induced.
There was only one thing that she could think of and that was to flee. The woods were safe and comforting (something that she'd never thought she'd believe). Grabbing her jacket, she darted towards the forest, intent on losing herself among the greenery.
After several minutes of exploring, the silence was disturbed by the sound of another. Margaery turned, facing the source of the heavy footfalls and sound of brush breaking. With a measure of relief, she saw Emma. While the two had never spoken before, she was a face that Margaery recognized.
"Did you come to walk as well?"

After several minutes of exploring, the silence was disturbed by the sound of another. Margaery turned, facing the source of the heavy footfalls and sound of brush breaking. With a measure of relief, she saw Emma. While the two had never spoken before, she was a face that Margaery recognized.
"Did you come to walk as well?"

no subject
That may be why her steps are heavy today. She feels as if the weight of the world is on her shoulders. She was supposed to be the Savior right? Well, she pretty much felt like she was saving nothing. She looked up at the sound of the voice.
"Oh, hi... yeah I guess," She said, a bandage on her forehead still. "Trying to figure out how to survive. How about you?"
no subject
Margaery had a bandage of her own near her left temple. It had been cleaned and dressed, but the throbbing was hard to ignore. Her head still ached, a soft ringing remaining in her ears.
"Much the same," Margaery confessed. "I thought to walk and clear my head. Exploring the woods seems like a wonderful place for some quiet." And solitude, but it seemed rude to speak that aloud. "You are welcome to join me?"
no subject
"How's your head?" She asked, nodding towards the woman's bandage and wished to god she hadn't. Emma chuckled softly. "Don't ever feel bad about want to be alone okay? Sometimes it's just better for everyone. As long as you don't mind the company, I would love to. Where are you headed?"
no subject
"It is not as grievous as it appears," she lied, forcing a smile to her face. "No, I think I would welcome the company." The quiet, which soothed her before, was no unnerving. "I was headed in no particular direction." She pointed towards a large gathering of trees. "I thought to follow this path."
no subject
Huh, weird.
"Sorry, I don't mean to stare but you kind of remind me of someone I met recently," Emma said, looking the way Margaery pointed. "Sounds good to me. You don't have any weapons do you?"
no subject
It was enough to bring a real smile to her face.
"Do I?" She asked, intrigued by that. "I have been told this before. No, I'm afraid I don't, but I think we will be safe without them. I don't intend for us to walk far."
no subject
Emma glanced over, slightly confused at the smile, but she returned it all the same.
"Yeah, he kept calling me Lady Emma, which is kinda weird, because I don't think of myself that way you know?" She said, reaching out and moving a branch so Margaery wouldn't get hit in the face.
no subject
It could be either boy. They were nothing if not proper. "They were only showing respect."
As they moved deeper in the woods, Margaery paused in her tracks, noticing that smaller, fainter path curved away from the main road. It disappeared between a large grove of trees, everything still and only the faint sound of water coming from the distance. "I don't think I have been this way before."
no subject
"I think I'll go with broody, or that frown thing," She said, waving her hand a bit. "He actually reminded me a lot of me. He was nice, pulled me out of the fountain.
"Do you hear that?" Emma asked, stopping as well.
no subject
Margaery nodded, turning on her heels towards the small path. "Water, I think? I didn't know there was a fresh stream this way. I never heard it before."
She spent every day in the forest, yet never once did she hear the sound of a spring until now.
no subject
"Is everyone like him? because I'm pretty sure I would have drowned," Emma said with a small smile. She followed Margaery along the path. "Fresh water is good right? But be careful we don't need to get hurt before we can tell people."
no subject
She nodded, pushing aside the low hanging branches to peer around. "We should be careful. I don't think I have been down this way. I don't know where the animal dens are. If there is fresh water, it might be enough to save us. The earthquake contaminated our water."
no subject
"Do you know what kind of animals? God, I wish I had my sword. Well lets hope we catch a break."
no subject
"Only the usual sort, bears and wolves. I think we should be safe enough, we will just have to keep an eye on our surroundings."
