Having been in the Village a few days now, Rey was trying to get the lay of the land. She'd walked the same route each day, familiarising herself with the placement of the buildings and the way the river meandered, lengthening her path a little more each day and adding a little more to her mental map. Inside she was already resigning herself to the fact that she was stuck here - if there were a way out, someone would have found it by now - but she already feels restless knowing her world had been reduced down to the few square miles of the canyon. She'd spent enough of her life stuck waiting, and to be forced back into a cage even smaller than the one she'd stepped out of not too long ago felt stifling.
She's swung back on herself a little earlier than usual today, feeling the chill set in her bones. She didn't think she would ever get used to the temperature here, the way the cold bit at her fingers and set her teeth chattering. Discovering hot water coming out of the faucets in the house she'd been staying in had been a revelation, but there was nowhere to build a fire. She'd remembered there being a roaring fire in the inn, though, and decided to head over there to get the feeling back in her fingers.
As she rounds the corner she sees a familiar figure exiting the very building she'd been heading toward. Rey hadn't had the chance to get to know Poe Dameron well, and her first thought is that he's a rather odd choice for her to be hallucinating. The more she stares, however, the more convinced she is that he really is here. Her face splits into a grin as she heads toward him, raising her hand high above her head to wave in greeting.

Dressed in his thick denim overalls, and missing his flight suit something fierce — at least it had sleeves — he bundles up as best as he can before he goes outside to try and get more comfortable with the layout of everything, since it seems like he's going to be living here for a while.
He's barely out of the door when he sees movement out of the corner of his eye, and he turns his head quickly only to see...Rey?
What the hell is Rey doing here? Last he saw of her, she was shipping off to find Luke Skywalker, off to train to be the last Jedi in the galaxy. Seeing her here brings up a powerful sense of deja-vu, but he shakes his head and pushes all that aside quickly.
"Rey!" he shouts, nearly vaulting off the steps so he can run towards her, a bright grin splitting his face as he gets close enough to wrap his arms tightly around her. That deja-vu is back with a vengeance — he'd held Finn like this, once, overjoyed to see him alive and healthy after he'd been so convinced that he'd somehow left him to die in the hot sands of Jakku — but he pushes past that wave too, tightening his grip on the slip of a girl in his arms. "Kriffing hell, Rey, what the hell are you doing here?"

She steps back after a moment, looking him up and down, quickly realising that he's not soaking wet so he can't have just arrived. He looks as though he's blended into this place easier than she has, but she'd guess that would be true of him anywhere.
"What are you doing here? How long have you been here?"

He'd have quite happily continued to hug her for much longer, but Rey pulls back first, and he loosens his grip on her to allow her her freedom, though the broad, beaming smile on his face doesn't dim in the slightest.
"Your guess is as good as mine," he replies, shrugging. He'd been hoping that part of his exploration today would reveal a way for him to escape, maybe a puddle jumper somewhere he could hot wire, or even just a rock face he could climb that would take him closer to freedom. Or at least, closer to somewhere he could radio for help. "And only a little over a day. How long have you been here?"
