WHO: Margaery Tyrell
WHERE: The Fountain
WHEN: July 21st
OPEN TO: All
WARNINGS: N/A
STATUS: Open

There had been green before her eyes and the rumble of the ground beneath her feet. A sudden roar and then it all disappeared, replaced by the sound of splashing and swirling water before her eyes. Margaery sputtered, liquid filling her eyes, nose and mouth, pulling her down into the depths as she struggled to understand what was happening and where she was.

Pressure grew in her chest, reminding her that she didn't have time to rest in a delirium. She needed air and needed to fight to the surface for it. Kicking and struggling, she swam fiercely, channeling all of her confusion and fear into her movements. It wasn't long before the light she chased was in reach and the surface surrounded her. She took a sharp ragged breath, scanning around her environment, on edge and waiting for more danger. Her limbs trembled, shock deeply rooted in her.

Slowly, she pulled herself from the fountain (was a fountain really so deep?) and fell against the ground. Her chest rose and fell rapidly, her heartbeat returning to normal. She sputtered, spitting out the excess water that had found itself into her mouth.

That was done. She had survived, but where had she landed? What place was this and what waited for her? What nightmare had she woken to?

City does seem almost too nice, doesn't it? It's so very small, and run down, and falling apart everywhere.

"That's a pretty wise decision." Jo agreed, familiar enough. She hadn't wanted it again after coming out first, or anytime after Cougar found no bottom and Kylo continued not to. The Fountain annoyed her more than it creeped her out, though the second was in there. With the magically appearing people. Who needed to appear drowning underwater for some godforsaken absolutely logic lacking reason.

"You'll be glad to know there are bathtubs around here to help you get that smell off you and out of your clothes, though sadly, you'll be stuck in those--" With a gesture at the wet light grey scrubs. "--for a while. There doesn't seem to be any clothing of any kind hiding in any of these places. At least not that we've found yet."

"Oh, that's probably Kylo" Jo wrinkled her nose. "Tall, about so--" reached a hand up high. "--high, and all in black?"

He, unlike Cougar and Jo, seemed to think if he kept trying he'd be able to find the bottom. The other two of them had been there for a first time in the beginning, on day one, while everyone was still appearing, attempt at getting to the bottom, and they'd stopped there. The fountain was most certainly an entrance of some kind, but it didn't open and close. People just appeared, which was far less hard for Jo to wrap her head around than anyone else.

It made sense, looking to exit the entrance, but it just wasn't going to be a thing. But Kylo was taking his time figuring it out.

Jo gave her an interested look. "I supposed you could? I don't know how to. But, then, I suppose a few other people around here might know how to make clothes, too." Jo looked off toward the buildings, with a knit of her mouth that wasn't quite to pressing her lips. It was better than some places she'd been and worse than others. "It's falling apart, mostly. Older than what was modern back in my time in my world. There's furniture and stuff, but no technology and no personal effects from anyone who might have been here before."

Jo nodded at the description as though there could only ever be the one, which was truly how it felt with Kylo. There was only one person like him, and the next one over, was the one who acted like he was shadow for Kylo. Even while both of them seemed to be against acknowledging anything about the other existing except to scowl and allude to how the other was idiotic or needed most to be killed for their sake.

"Mine, too. Clothes are, for the most part, just bought where I was from." Any of the from's. Except the second. But except the second was a given. Like breathing in. It's the way she says technology like it could be anything. A piece of furniture or a rug, something that comes with a house but she doesn't know it, that makes Jo have to ask. "When were you from?"

It was a smart way to look at it. Even really for how to look at all of it, and all of them. Jo had to wonder after him. Maybe she'd check in on the mill later today, or tomorrow, or sometime this week, if she didn't spot one or both of the boys at another of the lunches. It didn't hurt to keep an eye open and out on each other, especially among those of them who ranged and settled the furthest they could get from the village proper.

Her words are older, and they remind her some of the people who spoke to her over the bar in Milliways. It makes Jo take a second look at her and, she's not positive, but she'd lay high money on being right over being wrong, because even the girl's posture and bearing shows through the soaked clothes and the garish assault of the single color wrapped over her. She was a lady, from somewhere that those still existed.

"It's complicated." Is honest, because Jo'd been honest that first day and it meant she had to continue being and doing so. "But my home was in the middle of nowhere in North America, on a planet called Earth."
