Weeks now the villagers have endured kidnappings and attacks by an unknown, if eerily familiar-looking enemy who may have been just on their periphery for much, much longer than anyone realized. Now, with another uncertain day before them all, a message lights up every device on or off of a wrist:

ALL VILLAGERS HAVE 24 HOURS TO SECURE THEIR WRIST DEVICES.
DO NOT REMOVE YOUR DEVICES.
COUNTERMEASURES ARE FORTHCOMING.

For those unclear on its urgency, the message is repeated every hour, an unmissable countdown... But to what?

Aqua hasn't honestly been stuck on this world for long enough to have secured a healthy distrust of the Observers and the world itself. She has learned enough about how to survive out here and that whoever the Observers are they probably aren't very trustworthy. The unmovable wrist device is suspicious in itself, but the day the countdown starts is the day her suspicions and feeling of foreboding increase tenfold. She knows of at least one person who hasn't had a wrist device in a while. At least, she thinks he hasn't. Whether he's gotten it back yet or not she doesn't know. So she does the first thing she can think of.

She hits the network with an audio post.

"I don't know what that message means, but I think it might be a good thing to make sure everyone has their devices on," she starts out seriously. "Those people who have been attacking us seem intent on taking these devices. Whatever countermeasures are coming, these devices are important. More than that, they are a connection to each other. I think we should work together to get everyone's back. If you need help finding yours or getting it back on, I'm happy to help in any way that I can."

A pause and then she adds on, "My name is Aqua, for anyone I haven't met yet."

Later, she takes her chances outside because she's a Big Damn Hero. She sends out messages to anyone she knows, to check on them and see if they need anything, whether they have endured the siege at the Inn with her or not. For anyone who doesn't respond to either message, or anyone who is just around the south village and needs help of any kind, Aqua is taking her patrols seriously. She wants to help and is willing and able to fight anything that crosses her path.
