There's nothing in Bobo that has him wanting to take chances with the south village during all of this. It's gone to madness, not that he's surprised with everything that's been going in this place, but he's not risking the life he's been gaining in this place because he doesn't know who to trust. That paranoia that has led him most of his life is still there, it just involves a larger group of people.
So he sends messages to Karen, Bull, Foggy, Rinoa, and a few others, asking for them to check in, let him know where they are and if they're okay, and then he starts securing his area.
Working on the barn first, hating the idea of the animals possibly ending up dead, but hoping they'll be safe. Then the house. Vasquez and the other help, securing the windows, and all doors, setting up the weapons they have, and those they've taken from the kitchen in the northern inn, and with the foods they've been stockpiling anyway in Bobo's smokehouse experimentation, he thinks they might do well. For a while.

"I'll take it that means you're doing okay, and yeah. Thanks. The others are seeing to the house, getting the things we could need from the Inn. Wasn't sure if you were barricading in down south or not," He says, making it obvious he's thought about it, but not sure if they were in a place where he could ask him to come up their way instead.

"Vasquez and Faraday. They love with me. There's others up here but only a few. A girl that stays south a lot,' he says, gesturing the direction to her house. Some hulking fellow named Maine. Figure he can handle himself. Another new person I haven't talked to." And weird and skulking. Bobo just left them to themselves.
"You're okay though?" He moves closer to Bull, head canting to look him over. "And if you're not, tell me."

"Nothing is wrong with me. Just a couple of bruises after a sparring session."

"I'll understand if you head back south to check on them and help there, but if you don't keep in touch," he says, touching his wrist device. "I'll get cranky." And worried. That's the word he's not using but it's what he means.

"Though I hope you'll be selfish from time to time," he says, having a few thoughts of ways he wants him to be.

"You know, I find that part of you amazing," he admits. "I can't imagine being that good of a man again." Especially not in this situation. He'd been saving people from much the same when he'd died, after all.

"Yeah. Let's talk about some things when you get back," he says, biting at the inside of his lip for a minute, knowing he's going to leave and Bobo has to admit with all that is happening on the island, he might not ever come back. "You know... I love you too," he says, the words firm even if his tones are soft. No hesitancy though as he says them in return as Bull goes to help others.
And Bobo tries not to fear he'll not return as Robert himself hadn't when he'd done the same.

The patrol is quiet. Too quiet in a way, but that is not something he can do anything about right now. When it is over and he is on his way back to the house he sends a quick text to Bobo, letting him know nothing has happened so far. He stops at the brewery and picks up a couple of bottles before he heads over to Bobo's place. He knocks on the door with a smile.
"I'm back"

The text though is a welcome one, only letting himself think then about how much he had not wanted to think about this world turning on Bull and destroying him as his own had done to Robert.
Smiling though at the knock, not rushing to the door as he moves to pull it open, his jacket discarded, stripped down to his tee and jeans, boots tosses aside as well. "Well hi there," he says, stepping back. "And you come bearing gifts even. Be still my heart," he says almost entirely deadpan.

He closes the door, making sure it is secure. Then he turns. "You wanted to talk?" Yeah he had thought about that a lot when he had been out.
no subject
"Come on in. Sit down. The boys are out," he says, turning and heading to the couch. "Took the unicorns out for a run." He knows they're not called that but same difference, really.
"I just want to talk to you about... about the man I am and all of this." All about them, about what he knows could happen and the man that he is.

He reaches out offering a hand to hold, half expecting Bobo to not take it. "Yeah?"
no subject
"I'm not going to say this right, and it's not what I mean. Not the way I'm going to say it but... I'm worried I'm going to lash out at you because I'm afraid of being betrayed."
And it sounds wrong to say it, and it hurts at the same time. Both the subject, and being this honest, talking about his emotions. But he's thinking about what Vasquez told him, the chance he had taken for love, and Bobo knows he has to try.
"I've loved, or thought I loved, twice in my life," he says, things they've talked about it to a degree, hinted at from time to time in how open Bobo is in this place. "They both betrayed me, and left me to die, and I don't think it's something you would do. It's not in the man I've known, but I know me, and how I can react to things."
no subject
"I can handle you lashing out. I understand feeling that way. I... yeah. Fuck. I can't promise to not get hurt or angry. But that doesn't mean I will love you any less."
no subject
"I've never asked anyone to be patient with me, and I feel like an idiot asking now, but..." He leans in, kissing Bull tenderly and then resting his brow against Bull's. "Don't let me push you away. Again, I know I sound like an idiot." Because he's not used to being open or asking for help. None of it, but he truly doesn't want to fuck this up.
"I nearly demanded you not leave earlier, positive they would turn on you."
