Snow Business | OTA
Nida is tired of snow. Not even kidding. Snow wasn't really his thing, and the winter had done actually nothing to convince him that it was a good idea. At all. Ever. So clearly it was time for someone to do something about it. And with new power under his control from the Bunker, he intended to clear the rest of the snow from the ground. Well, parts of it. Not that there was too much to be had, but there was enough, and Nida was moving through town along the paths and walkways, driving the heavy, wet snow aside with bursts of wind. Each burst of the carefully managed gusts drove snow to either side of the main paths, and once they moved over the edge Nida pushed a bit harder with the magic, willing the edges of the snow to freeze together into a hard-packed and icy barrier. That should keep the path clear.
Of course he's having more fun with it than he really expected to, shaping the winds like he is. Which meant Nida was not nearly as aware of surroundings as he should be. Chances were he might blow some of the snow onto people's feet, or miss someone throwing snow at him. Or, even worse, accidentally freeze their foot in with the mess. Whoops.
Monster Hunting Hero | OTA, TT2 - Animal Attraction
It's not that he gets stung. No, Nida hears about the events happening mostly through word of mouth over the network. Even seen it happen a bit himself. While he's been good enough to avoid the weird things stinging at people, he's not willing to just sit things out in the dojo. Training is well and good but it's his nature to be out and protecting people.
Of course it means he's up high, watching from the roof of the dojo, watching for anyone to get into trouble. Seeing someone attacked by an animal he would jump in immediately, staff at his side to help. Of course, he might not be as prepared if someone became confused and decided he was the enemy instead.
An Unexpected Gift | Closed to Seifer
For a few days he plays around with the contents of one of the boxes that he finds in his room on return. Granted the dogtags that had his own name on them he had put on without hesitation, but there's something almost forward about the other ones. How is he to assume that people will even be as amused by these as he was? Still, after a bit of time and thought Nida resolves to act. He gets up and collects the pieces of jewelry, stuffing them into his pocket. Time to go hunting down his little family, so they can benefit from the reward he'd appparently been given.
Maybe he liked the idea of showing them how possessive he was anyway.
Dinner for Two | Closed to Billy
It's something he'd intended to get done earlier, but the kidnapping. Again. And the needing to let them deal with respective brothers in the aftermath. But here he was now, having set up one of the unoccupied houses for the goal of the evening. He'd found one with a fireplace and set a fire in it. Billy had said he'd mostly be taking care of dinner, which meant Nida was the one that was supposed to deal with the where.
And tonight they would be alone. A date with Billy. Nida smiled as he fingered one of the stranger items that had come to him from their keepers. He'd also dressed himself in one of the new outfits he'd gotten, just because he wanted to make sure that he cleaned up well for his first date.
And speaking of cleaning up well, by the time Billy arrives Nida will be moving through the dusty house, driving the dust before him with small gestures of his hands that seemed to be amplified into gusts of wind. Which maybe Nida was having a touch too much fun with.

So on the one hand, she's happy to see that Nida is taking an initiative to clear it away. On the other hand, as she gets close to him she winds up part of the scenery.
"H-hey!" She tugs at her foot and gives him a look, "A little help, maybe?"
no subject
"I'm sorry," he winces has he moves toward her, pulling the staff from his back and using it to start knocking at the ice. "I didn't notice you there."
no subject
"I guess I could have given you a heads up." Her natural inclination was to be quiet and, in a way, sneaky. "Other than fusing me to the ground, looks like you're doing good work - I hate this stuff."
no subject
"I should have been paying more attention. Trying to learn this power I picked up, and the freezing part keeps getting away from me. I can't imagine why freezing and air control come together, honestly."
But he keeps striking with the staff until it cracks the ice enough to let 7 pull her foot free.

Date night
Honestly, they probably should have postponed this a little longer, but Billy's done waiting. They never know what's coming next in this place, and he'd rather live without regret. Which means despite the dark circles under his eyes, he's all dressed up in a nicely fitted henley and slim jeans, ruined hoodie and wool coat traded in for a red and black plaid flannel and a leather jacket from the stores until he can fix the others. Some of Nida's pomade has made its way into Billy's hair, too, and he's done his best to make himself presentable. It's their first date, after all.
Carefully balancing the basket containing their dinner in one arm, Billy lets himself in through the front door, appreciating the warmth of the fire Nida's apparently built. The place looks pretty clean, Nida must have gotten here early to get it ready. "Hey, Nida, you in here?" Billy calls out, more out of habit than necessity, as he carries the large basket back to the dining room, pausing as he catches sight of Nida in the kitchen, a small dust cyclone at his feet. Leaning against the door frame, Billy smiles as he watches Nida clearly manipulating the little cyclone and just as clearly enjoying himself.
"You're pretty good with that, you know."
no subject
"Sleep still an issue?" Nida asks softly, reaching up to tuck a stray hair behind Billy's ear. "Need me to stay over more?"
It seemed easier to sleep with Billy near. Not even sharing a bed, just close enough that Nida could whisper with him in the night and hear him breathing in the night. The offer comes from the best friend Nida. Though boyfriend Nida is worried too.
no subject
"I always want you to stay over more. Easier to fall asleep in your arms," he answers, looking up at Nida with that same soft expression. "But no. I mean yeah, but not any more than usual. I think my body's still catching up from--everything. You know." Except he doesn't, exactly, Billy's been vague on some of those details, but Nida's gotten more than most. "It's fine. I'm fine, I promise." Or he will be. As soon as he's back up to speed, he's doubling down on his training, all of it.
Leaning up slightly, he brushes a light, chaste kiss against Nida's lips, not quite able to resist. "You hungry?"
no subject
"So hungry," he agrees, his voice a bit wistful. Not that he means for food. Kisses, closeness, warmth, anything he can get. Instead he wraps an arm lightly around Billy's waist to guide him back to the dining room and the smell of food.
"Not everyone has the durability to do what we've had to as often as we have. But you'll recover. Give yourself about a week to relax."

"Sorry. Should have thought a bit harder about how to process corners. I mean, not many blind ones here in town, so shouldn't be too much of an issue. But timing isn't always the best."
Which was a serious understatement he supposes.

But then the name comes. The sex guy. Nida tries not to reach. He probably wasn't being fair to the guy back then, but he had a reason. A pretty serious one. One based on the fact that he had been hurting at the time. Beyond hurting.
"Nida. And I'm sorry. For the rest."

Gifts
Too bad Nida can't hit him up on his wrist device to find him. Good thing Seifer's not really that elusive overall. Guy's hard to miss, even from a distance.
Re: Gifts
"Seif, bro, over here for a moment?"
no subject
Wiping his brow he set the broom aside to saunter over. "What's up? Nothin' wrong is there?" Nida looks happy enough so perhaps it's not trouble.

"These came in a box that was waiting for me when I got back. One of a few boxes. It's yours."

MONSTER HUNTING HERO!!!
Re: MONSTER HUNTING HERO!!!
"Keep a good grip, Fern. Thing might trample if you fall off. Go for the eyes if you can."
As it is the thing barrels at Nida and he rolls aside, jabbing carefully at one leg with the spear-point.

SNOW MY CAT PRESSED POST LOL
He hops off the roof and follows Nida, trying to figure out how he got those cool wind things, when he snaps and puts it together. Oh cool. "Dude, why didn't you go with fire if ---" And it was right about then that the wind accidentally whapped him in the face with a reasonable amount of snow being swept up. Desmond startled, backing up several steps, because damn. "Ow."
no subject
"Des," he says in shock, taking half a step back. "Sorry. I didn't... You caught me off guard. And I think we're seeing why fire might be a problem."
Of course he doesn't know how easily Reeve controlled fire, something Desmond would have seen.
"I... Back home my specialties were wind and water spells. Didn't seem smart to do something I didn't already know."
no subject
"It's all good, Nida, but yeah, being a pyro might not be the best move." He does remember having fire abilities back when the ice mice were around, and he vaguely learned a little about them, but not enough to be good at it. Maybe it's a cool idea for later. He smiles easily at his friend.
"That's cool. I'm not sure I'd be good at any of them, honestly, so I haven't actually given the thing a spin yet." He was a little interested in the advanced healing, with the knowledge that he'd likely end up having to stab himself in order to see it work, and he's not about that life. "You're a little jumpy."
