Hey people, Foggy here. I got a couple of those boxes that seem to happen to people and while it's addressed to me, I get the feeling that it's meant for the collective. I've got a bunch of woodworking tools here, including chisels, files, a saw and a hand drill with drill bits.
I'm taking this a hint that they approved of my amateur forays into carpentry and want that to continue, but I want to make sure everyone knows they're welcome to use them. For now, I'm keeping everything at the South Inn, but maybe we can set up one of the houses, or the mill as a workshop at some point.
Even had an idea for making paper from the sawdust and shavings. That's probably going to need experimentation though.
South Village Inn
True to his word, Foggy has set up in the large front room. He's moved a table to a far corner and he's set out the tools, checking them over to see if they're all fine. He does know all these tools, he did high school wood working, but it's been a while.
A long while.
But the main reason for sitting here is so that it's apparent he is here, and the tools are here, and they can work something out for making useful things and teaching people to make useful things.

"The tools, though - you're not practiced in them very much? Huh. Wonder why you got them, then," he mused. "...And who gave them to you."
no subject
He watches Alistair, not with any particular lecherous intention, just absent attention. "Hm? No, not at all. I don't really think they're for me, as much as... directed to me to distribute to the community, you know? And who left them..."
He makes a noise and throws up his hands. "No idea."

He lifted one arm up, not really thinking, and gave it a flex - which managed to take up the entire sleeve of his shirt. Which made him wince a little. "...Better not do that too much. But anyway, it's good for your arm strength."
no subject
His grin suggests teasing, though he really wouldn't mind ongoing perving.

He'd been examining the seam of the shirt. He wasn't bad at field repairs, not anymore, but the idea of altering an entire shirt was more than he thought he was up to. And then Foggy's words filtered through ahd ...
And he blinked looking across at him - far from accusatory but trying to understand what he'd heard.
"...Wait. You. Uh."
Was he going to have to ask Zev about this, too?
"Was that flirting?"
Or he could just. Ask.
no subject
He flirts, but he doesn't want to make Alistair uncomfortable. He's very fond of him.

And though he's not really flustered, it looks like he could be. Very easily.
no subject
He tilts his head. "Define serious? I'm flirting with you because I'm a bit flirty and I like you. I'm not hitting on you."
no subject
And he felt a little more confident in his dealings now. Amazing what a little explanation could do.
no subject
And maybe being a clone.
Foggy laughs. "Yeah, takes a bit more than being carried in muscled arms for me as well."
no subject
Or at least it didn't this time. No Sereda. No entire group of people with him. Just him, hiding in caves and barns to stay away from the other Wardens.
"So now that I get it, no problem."
no subject
To be honest.

"Thanks, Alistair." He lays his hand on top of Alistair's and squeezes briefly. "I appreciate it."
no subject
He broke off, looking suddenly thoughtful. "...Huh. Wonder if he was flirting for the sake of friendliness too..."
no subject
Alistair knows what state Foggy was in then.
no subject
Flirting... for real?
......
"...Huh."
It looked like the barn thing was, for the moment, forgotten in favour of complete dumbfoundedness.
