It had taken a few hours for Cougar to build a fire warm enough to get the main area of the inn to a decent temperature. There wouldn't be any point to playing a game if you were too scared to take off any clothes that you didn't feel comfortable betting or risking anything. He'd dug out the playing cards from the pile of communal things, he'd written a sign that said 'no powers' because it's not fair if someone's suddenly lucky, and then he'd gone strategic.
Sure, he cheats (often), but when it comes to a game like this, the best way to do that is to layer up. It's why he makes sure that once the tables are ready and the cards are out, he puts on as many layers as possible and his hat, settling in the corner where he can see the door, plenty of chairs ready for people to join.
Hopefully, some people will walk out winners, with all the clothes on their backs.
Then again, that isn't the fun part, is it?
Jake Jensen | OTA
Jake mostly just pushes on, hoping and sometimes finding himself fairly lucky.
Not that he really has been tonight given that he's down to his socks, a pair of boxers with red hearts all over them, and a pirate hat. Yep, a pirate hat. He'd put it on at the least minute, if only to give himself one more layer, and apparently it's a good idea given how far down he is.
He plays on though, eyes narrowing as he cants his head, staring at someone with a curious expression.
"So what? Do you do this professional back home?"

She shrugs, and sets down her winning hand. "You can fold and leave the table if you want, I won't think any less of you."

"Are you worried someone will? I mean, I wouldn't. At all. Ever. For any reason. Honestly, whether it was wanted or not, but I mean, are you worried about that playing this?"
Because damn, he doesn't want her playing if she thinks she's going to be hurt by someone, whether she can protect herself or not.

"Other than some distinct stretchmark-related anxiety, no. It was a job, not a curse," she assures him, shifting her gaze equally between him and her cards. "Well, okay, wear enough body glitter and it starts to feel like an inescapable curse, but I bet the princesses at Disneyland have that problem too."
