Fountain Arrival
It's one thing to know how feeble humans are, and another to suddenly be as weak as one. It actually takes a couple tries to realize he somehow can't get himself out of the water without real effort, his waterlogged hair and clothes weighing him down.
Once out, he's slumped back against the side of the fountain, some of the falling snow sticking to damp hair, trying to sort out not just the weakness but the odd clothing. Alucard ends up talking to himself as he tries to puzzle this all out, grabbing what looks like a dry towel off the side of the fountain. "Was I expected, then? Perhaps this isn't something I can blame on father's castle after all..."

"And there's no chance you know who these Observers are, is there?" Then he decides, no that's the wrong question. "Or what they are?"
no subject
Perhaps he would be offended over how he was being treated if he cared about the tall stranger's opinion of him. Usually people would mellow out if they had a bit of time to adjust to things going on here, maybe this guy would be the same.
"Mind if I know your name?"
no subject
His rudeness is not misplaced, in his mind.
"My name is Adrien Tepes. But most call me Alucard." Not that he expects it to mean anything to this man, but he is watching for a reaction either to his last name or nickname anyways. Just in case. "And you are?"
no subject
Small things to get back at the attitude he was being given. After all Alucard had said ‘some’ people called him that. Not that Nida should.
When he got to the door he was careful to knock his boots near the frame, didn’t want to track too much cold and wet into the building. Would probably take some time to dry his boots by the fire too, whether the guy cared or not.

He scuffs his shoes at the entrance a bit. Habit, more than any politeness. He can look into fire in a second, but has so many more questions. "How many other people live here?"
no subject
Oh well, direct request, he'll oblige. Nida didn't bother to wait, just stepped inside and leaned his staff next to the door. Might as well pull a seat up to the fire for him. Maybe dig through the storage closet to see if there was anything in his size. Which Nida seriously doubted.
If the man followed he would answer other questions.

Once that was explained be backed away, finding a bit of wall to lean against.
“My understanding is there is a bunker, where we start in water filled tubes. People say this means we’re clones. I don’t know what to think about that. My friend Rinoa was released at the tube stage.”
no subject
"Clones? duplicates of what exactly?" He doesn't feel like not himself, lack of powers aside. So he can't be a clone of himself, right?
no subject
"The real us," Nida answered. "We're fake, somewhere else out there are real people."
And that makes them... discarded. Or something. He doesn't know how to answer it beyond that point. Other people came up with the idea. Magic on his would... well, it could explain him being here.
