It's clear that someone else used to live in this room except that now everything had a thin layer of dust on it. "There and there is a pair of converse right here. I'll make us some tea down stairs."

She flashed him a smile before disappearing towards the kitchen.

She had a lot of dry herbs and while Vasquez might not want to sit around and talk, Kat thought that he ought to warm up after walking naked outside for however long he'd been standing there. She didn't want him to catch a cold.
