Please keep in mind the established plot details, but creative license is welcome and encouraged as long as it doesn't step on toes.

Beverly's lips twist wryly. "It won't be the first time," she says with a weary sigh. "At least this time I can live with myself." There haven't been many instances in her life where she's had to live with doing something she's been forced into or wouldn't normally even consider doing. Her moral and ethical code is too strong for her to do anything she couldn't live with normally. Worf's situation was different and it has become something of a moral guideline, a warning to her to make sure she knows what she's doing.

At least this time they have a better chance of saving lives than that time.

"Let's go," she says, the tiny upwards curl to her mouth an echo of his own faint smile. "I'll see what I can do about that." He's probably right about that one; Beverly has had more than enough experience giving unpleasant news to patients, whether she likes it or not. In this situation, she won't like having to deliver this news, but she already has an idea of how to go about it. And with any luck, they really will have plenty of people who are willing and able to go track down and milk a few venomous snakes for them.

He agrees. At least the people in this place do seem to appreciate it, even if for the next few days they'll hate it. So there will be less of a thankless job in the end. His head still hurts and he rubs his eyes, having a sneaking suspicion of what's happening. So it's all the more important for them to get the solution going and soon, because he needs to do as much as he can before it all goes wrong.

He follows her to talk to the others and make the plan. It'll work.
