A -The Inn
Asch still comes to the Inn in the mornings now and then, sometimes to see if he sees new faces or to ask if anyone needs help with anything. Though today he came to see one of two faces. First was Cael to just see if the man has learned anything new, Asch refused to admit he was fond of the man. Something about him made him feel like Sync's calculating eyes were still following him, which was both welcomed and unwanted all at once. The other was just to catch a glimpse of Natalia, granted he needed to extend his offer to her but it felt unbecoming at the same time. He knew how quickly the inn fills.
So, after getting something simple to eat and a warmed drink he sat quietly the machete checked out again sitting on the table next to him since he planned to go hunting again after he finished at the inn.
B - From the Woods to the Inn
Asch moved at his usual silent ways through the woods, he had the machete at his side and two average sized rabbits inside of his bag, with a couple bits of herbs he had collected in his other hand. It was nearing Dusk when he made his way out of the woods to head back for the village. Taking a moment to just enjoy quiet of the forest, with the exit in sight. He knew he needed to hurry and take the meat to the inn and check the machete back in, but for once he saw no real reason to hurry.
After a few relaxing moments the young man made his way back across the field, pondering a trip to the spring to get the blood off of him and to just relax. He had heard a bit about the healing waters at the party, but he had not ventured in yet. The idea was still floating around as he quietly made his way back to the inn.

She brightened when she saw Asch enter, but didn't do anything so bold as waving him over or saying hello from across the room.

He took a seat before moving his hair from his face, a few bits of straw stuck in it, and it was in desperate need of a brushing.
"Good morning, Princess Natalia." He spoke trying to not show his happiness at seeing her.
no subject
"Good morning Asch. It's so strange to see you with that blade and not your own sword."
no subject
"Yes, it is for me as well, this is the best I have found to be a suitable replacement, sadly it belongs to the people so I can only borrow it while I hunt." He explained, wanting to ask his question but it didnt seem right to just blurt it out. "And what have you been filling your time with Natalia?" He inquired, wanting to know if she was okay, and if he needed to be watching anyone.
no subject
"There's a lot I have to learn." Starting fires is one thing, but she'd had to research the most basic tasks like cleaning clothes and dusting.
"I'd like to help hunt, but I don't want to use all the arrows we have. We might need them badly in the future."
no subject
"Maybe we could make you arrows? They wouldn't be the best but home made would be more plentiful for your archery. Your a fine enough archer to best mostly anyone." He complimented like it was nothing as he lifted his drink taking another sip. "Which... reminds me." He started, as if he forgot, leaving room for her to prompt him on.
no subject
"Reminds you?" she asked innocently. Whatever it was he was clearly being shy about it.
no subject
He reached up pushing his hair from his face one he sat the tea down. "This may seem forward, and I mean no harm, I simply worry with you here and knowing how fast the inn fills. What I mean to say..." He hated when the boyish shyness came out, damnit. "Would you like to stay with me? I have my own home here, it would not be a problem before you even say it." He knows her. Or he did.
no subject
With anyone else she would have worried about causing a problem, but the thought of staying with- moving in with- Asch is nothing short of thrilling. She’d been learning about cleaning methods and starting fires, and she already knew how to cook (sort of), so she could probably even be of some use to him. There hadn’t been a good time to bring up their engagement before, but this seemed like the perfect opportunity to slip it casually into conversation.
“I’d like that. It does seem appropriate, being betrothed.”
no subject
"Well... Yes, I suppose, though technically that should be Luke." He gave a shrug. He still doesn't see himself as Luke, but as Asch. Still. "Either way, the offer is there and I can help you before I leave for my hunt, unless you would rather wait until later when I return."
no subject
"I was betrothed to you," she insisted gently, lowering her voice so she might not be overheard by everyone in the room. "Not him." And she loved Asch, in a way she had never loved Luke no matter how close they became as friends. It had hurt, all those years thinking her most treasured memories had been lost. They could discuss help in a moment.

Asch didn't give a damn who heard. If anyone said anything he'd make a scene, but he wanted to spare her any trouble he could for now. "Yes, but you didn't know he was not me until weeks ago." He countered before nodding. "However, if you still wish to fulfill that promise we made all those years ago," He started, making sure he had eye contact. "Then, if your sure, then I am willing." Such a romantic this one. All those years of sadness over his lost life, his princess like hell he'd not at least try.
no subject
"Nothing would make me happier." Well, she could think of one thing that would, but she wasn't going to count that.
She looked down at the half-eaten apple in her hand and started to fiddle with it, deciding whether or not it was wise to say what she was thinking. But if she didn't say it now, when would she ever get the chance again?
"I missed you, all those years. Even thinking you were right in front of me, it was never the same. I kept hoping that one day he would wake up and remember..." She chuckled suddenly, a little embarrassed by her naivety.
"It was silly, I guess, thinking that anything would change after seven years of waiting"
Woods
She stepped quietly through the woods, an arrow knocked but her bow lowered as she listened for her prey.
A soft rustle made her pause and listen. There was something close and judging by its footsteps it's larger than the smaller fair who rummaged through these woods. Wanda slows her breath and steels herself before quickly turning and pulling back the string of her bow. When she spots the red hair she quickly lowers the weapon, cursing beneath her breath. "Sorry." It was lucky that she'd seen him in time and hadn't decided that shooting him was the best course of action.
no subject
"I didn't see you there." He spoke as if it was an apology but, it wasn't.
no subject
"You're new. I've seen you around the inn." It was just an observation.
"Are you hunting or heading back?"
no subject
"Yeah, I stayed there a week or so. I moved out a couple weeks ago." he replied with a shrug as he shifted the bag on his shoulder. "Heading back, you?"
no subject
Wanda exhaled a steady breath. "I haven't found anything yet." The fall wasn't as hopeless as winter but Wanda was having trouble. The traps that she laid out weren't getting the foot traffic she usually got which meant that she had to go hunting. Clint's disappearance didn't make it easier since he'd caught most of the food for the house and its residence.

He is, however, not generally inclined to want to stay put for long periods of time. Not enough to have settled into any particular routine, at any rate, and for all that he's at least not actively trying to harm the village's chances of survival, he's never been terribly good at altruism. Or, for that matter, had much of an inclination towards the sort of survival required here.
As such, it's pretty much chance that has him crossing Asch's path. But the sight of someone returning from who-knows-where with a large knife (and somewhat bloodstained besides) is enough to catch his attention.
"A productive day's work, I take it?"
