Bellamy remembered what the "hotdog" man said about weapons and signed out a knife. He went exploring for a little bit but ended up back where he started. He didn't want to go too far from civilization because he had no idea what was out there-- though no one really mentioned anything too bad.
With the knife attached to his belt, he saw a building that, through the window, he could see books. Bellamy walked around to the front of the schoolhouse and wondered if he could find any of the books his mother once bartered for.
Idly, he wondered if he had something to do with his sister becoming Bloodreina. The fighting pits were right out of his books about the Romans. Books he read to her. His mind continued until he thought about how he fought her-- and then later, how she put him into the pit to fight Indra and Gaia.
After all he did for his sister, she would rather have power than his love.
It dug into his skull, how she so emptily said she loved him before he put her into cryo. Asked for him to love her back. And how he couldn't give it to her.

He was taking stock of one section when something felt like it was buzzing in his ear. Like there was an echo or a voice that was underwater and he could barely hear it. Bruce blinked and tried to clear out his eardrum, like that would help. It didn't. He heard something that sounded like I love you, but it was no voice he recognized, and it was startling.
There'd only been one person who said that to him in his life. Betty. Black hair, blue eyes, a voice so kind it could instantly defuse a situation, and when she said it, he felt lovable. The last time he saw her, it was from far away, and there was a distance between them that was never going to be mended. He let her go. He wasn't going to look back again, or let her keep wondering about him, it was over. He didn't know what there was left to live for, then.
Bruce shook his head and couldn't seem to get it out, standing up and thinking some fresh air would be nice. "What's a Bloodreina?" he murmured to himself, and almost bumped into Bellamy on his way in. "Oh, sorry."

If his sister was here, or even alive, he... he did't know what he'd do.

"I don't know, I just heard it. I thought I heard someone say it." It wasn't a term he knew or had never heard before, but it apparently meant something to Bellamy.

Is there a big green monster here?

Oh god. Bruce looked at him and very clearly thought to himself if you can hear this right now, it means something is going on much bigger than us.
sorry i broke our rhythm and used dw's way >_>
Silently, he answered, I can hear you. Why can I hear you?
how dare you jk ilu
"Have you walked by anyone else today and heard them?"

Don't think about Echo don't think about Echo.

He didn't say Echo. Obviously Bellamy did not want to hear about Echo. "I wonder why us." Bruce's mind starts going into statistical numbers and codes to try and percentage out why they in particular would be, and also how that then morphs into making sense based on what they knew of the people above so far. In his mind it was more of a vague sense of numbers, questioning, and moving very quickly through thoughts and facts and theories. He didn't go from A-Z, he went from A-H, J-Z, and then Z-K.
