[South Village roads + Dojo, OTA]

There's no question that Natasha's little walks every night are something more than that. One might even consider them something of a patrol. Yes, there's a group for that now, something that's been set up with a sign-up list at Town Hall and everything, but Natasha has always worked best out of the spotlight. People know where to find her if she needs to be found. Aside from that, she keeps her head down, occasionally inviting someone to join her for the quiet wanderings through the village streets in the late hours of the night. It isn't incredibly common that she runs into someone else out, especially as it continues to get colder, the damp and chill entirely uninviting, but on those rare occasions she does, maybe she can be convinced to stop and talk for a while, or to accept some company before she continues on.

Despite the late nights, she's also up early in the mornings, and if you're the sort to find yourself in Danny's dojo, you might also find her there, but what she's doing might not look so much like fighting as it does ballet warm-ups. Flexibility is just as important to maintain as the ability to punch someone, after all, and it's gotten her out of way more jams.

WHO: Nida
WHERE: South Village Fountain, Around Town
WHEN: Evening 12/16
OPEN TO: Iron Bull
WARNINGS: Discussions of sexual situations, sexual content, NSFW

Until now Nida had mostly been doing his rounds of the village on 'patrol' solo. There just hadn't been enough sign-ups before this, and with the hours he did his walks there didn't seem to be as much overlap. Part of that was because Nida wasn't the best at handling the cold. Even now, being out at night was a bit much for him, and he'd bundled himself up in just about everything he had at hand for warmth, taken one of the practice bōs he'd made for himself---not that he'd want to use it because of how flimsy the soft wood he'd managed---so he'd be armed. Once that was done he'd shouted out to the house where he was going and with who, just in case Rinoa or Seifer had slipped in and would care, before heading out to walk toward the fountain.

Time to meet the 'boss'.

Starting out as a Smithern )

Into the fire - OTA:

With the basics out of the way including the general safety guidelines of not putting one's hand in the molten metal or under a hammer, as well as a rough idea of what was expected of him Seifer went to work. Given his experience with blade maintenance much of his duty for the first day consisted of sharpening and honing. Knives, hatchets, anything with an edge that needed to be made sharp Seifer would work on it. When he had nothing on hand to sharpen he was put to work on casting. A simple enough task for a novice that was nearly impossible to mess up. And if he did? It could just be tossed back in to be melted down again.

At present he'd taken a break from sharpening duty to resume casting small parts for... something. Honestly he didn't really know what only knew he had to fill the molds, let them set, empty them out and repeat. This part was particularly nice because standing near the hot crucible was delightfully warm. Much better than wandering around outside in the cold. He was from a warm island where any snow was way up on top of the mountain range which you really had to go out of your way to find. This heavy, wet winter weather was taking some getting used to. Don't mind him playing at being a lizard and soaking up all the heat he could before returning to sharpening.

Arrival; South Village Fountain
One moment she was atop a rancor, its heavy feet thumping as they traversed through the rocky Dathomiri terrain.

The next she was wet, and cold, and Tenel Ka wondered if she’d tumbled off the six-foot-tall creature into the river.

Except they hadn’t been near the river, a voice in her head told her as she kicked her feet, pushing herself to the surface. When her head broke through the surface of the water, she let out a gasp and pushed her thick red hair — now heavy and soaked through — out of her face.

She bobbed up and down in the water as she got her bearings, then slowly began to pull herself out of the fountain.

Where was she?

This was not Dathomir. Instinctively, her hand reached for her lightsaber, to be ready in case of anything — but that came up short. It was fine, her hilt was gone, her armor: gone.

There was only one explanation. “I have been kidnapped,” Tenel Ka muttered to herself.

Later; at the Inn
The best place for information, on any planet, was a cantina. The shadier the better, the Jedi Knight had learned, but here there didn’t seem to be too many options so she instead settled in at the Inn, taking mental notes of those around her.

The people: primarily humanoid, with some slight variations. The planet; moderate temperate, two suns. A day of fairly average length, if a little shorter than she was used to. Everything seemed normal... except for one thing.

Tenel Ka could not feel the Force.

She had never been blocked off like this, not so completely. There were places, yes, deep holes that repelled the most basic power of the universe. Rumors, even, of a star that blocked it out. But she had never experienced it like this.

It would not do to mention this to anyone she met, not yet. So instead she turned to one of the others in the inn: “Excuse me. What system are we in?”

Around the Village
The next few days, Tenel Ka wanders, watching. Uncomfortable with being idle, and with not knowing what’s going on, she tries to speak to as many people as possible. And, eventually, how to fit herself into this place.
