[McGarrett House - November 17]

It had been just over a month since her arrival and she was still hoping that this place was some sort of bad dream but as the days passed, it was looking less and less likely that was the case. What made this place worse for Mary is there was no electricity or modern technology and it had been a rough adjustment for her. One positive thing was that her brother was here and they had found a house to call their own though living together hadn't been without it's difficulties. Mary had a more laid back way of doing thing than her brother and their argument about appropriate shower times was still in progress.

Since the ice storm had moved in, Mary was considering this place closer to hell. She was permanently cold all of the time and she had cabin fever which was making her fairly miserable. Currently, Mary was curled up in front of the fireplace, trying to stop the constant shivering. She didn't really know too much about keeping a fire but she wanted this one to be bigger so she picked up a log and tossed it on the fire. "This is ridiculous." She muttered to herself, curling up tighter, wrapping her arms around her legs. "I'm going to die of hypothermia!"

[The Village and the Inn - November 20]

Once the weather lessened a bit, Mary couldn't wait to get out of the house. She had nothing in mind other than just getting some fresh air. Mary headed into the village, taking her time as she walked around. Eventually she found herself at the Inn and she went inside just to see who was around.

Clary wasn't waiting for anyone in particular. She was just... waiting. Maybe after the winter she'd try and learn a new skill to help out around the inn or the village. Clary wasn't very good at anything and her plan to suddenly disappear the way that Isabelle had wasn't panning out.

"It's not so bad. Yet." Her lips tugged into a momentary frown as her head dipped to the side. "It's almost like winter in New York but no very large and very noise snowplows." She missed the sounds of the city. It was so quiet here.

"I haven't left the inn for two days. I need to get to the hot springs but I really don't want to go outside." Despite the fact that she's dressed to go outside. Clary was still in the process of figuring out what to do. Right now she was sitting and that was enough.

Clary laughed and shook her head. "I think that the weather and our captors will do what they want, no matter what I say." Though the idea of jinxing it sent a shiver down her spine. She'd be perfectly content to not have snow this year. "It's cold and inconvenient. There isn't much more to the snow."

She paused. "It's like white fluffy cold hell." Clary didn't hate winter but the cold months were those times that she stayed inside and drank hot chocolate or coffee, both of which she did not have here.

"Yeah. I can show you. The water has some healing properties. If I'm being honest, it's why my hair isn't a complete mess."
