Ned watches the feline with some interest, helping to close some of the gap between he and Jon, seeing as he doesn't have a weaving creature at his feet with which to contend. He lets his gaze linger on the creature for a few moments after the explanation before finally lifting his gaze to meet Jon's. There is softness and sympathy in his expression.

Although he's been doing a bit better in terms of speaking with some more emotional honesty than he had prior to arriving in the village, it's still a .. somewhat difficult concept.
