Normally, Beverly would get a smile. Out of all the people he'd met here she was probably the nicest, and she'd certainly proven the most helpful with all the mess about the Obscurus and him getting hurt. She's earned some good treatment, a lot more than a lot of people.

But right now he's just... not capable of being welcoming. Katniss is gone - waking up for a second day in a row with her not there and her things missing has set it in stone. She'd've found a way to leave him a note if she'd left to hunt, they're both aware of how frantic the other would be if they just disappeared, and a note would alleviate some of that. But no note, no clothes - no Katniss. Peeta looks up when Bev walks in, a flicker in his eyes that's unreadable, and then he looks back down to where he's rolling out the dough into a large sheet. "No." A pause. "Thanks."
