The command registers naturally in his mind, and the Soldier immediately comes to attention, nodding sharply as he takes to her side, keeping step with her. If he were any more coherent, the speed with which he adapted to it would likely come as alarming because he hasn’t received any proper orders in a long while, but Peggy always knew how to command a room with a single look. The familiarity of it carries him as well, muscle memory from decades past when he and the other Howlies would snap to attention as soon as the right tone was used.

He doesn’t know where she intends to take him, but he trusts her enough, regardless of the circumstances, to know there is little reason to doubt, even if a quiet voice whispers in the back of his mind to keep his guard up. Unnecessary as his guard is always up anyway.
