The trouble with this whole situation is that Peggy can already feel herself bristling, wanting to solve the problem. If Tony is anything like his father (and from his time in the village, Peggy suspected that he was), she would have simply grabbed Steve by the shirt, Tony by the ear, and locked them all in a room until they reached a solution.
