There was definitely a lot of things being left unsaid. It was clear in the way Graves skimmed over the special gifts part, the vagueness of the entire explanation. Giving enough information to, hopefully, keep the town at peace, but not so much that he's sharing particular aspects he'd rather keep to himself. The detective part of him is itching to nose around and find out what's up.

The Special Victims detective part of him knows that it's far more important to make sure Credence is located and taken care of before anything else happens. But he's decided that he's not going to let this go. It'll just be put on the back burner for the time being.

"Yeah," Sonny agrees, turning his attention back to Sam. They'd only spoken once before, but now it seems that they're very important allies, and Sonny's decided that he trusts the other man. "Special gifts aren't my forte, but victims are. They'll probably find him before we do, but we should search and be there for him once he's found. He'll need all the love and support he can get."
