As a matter of fact, he does.

Credence is a member of their community and one that has wormed his way into peoples' hearts, engendering a protective response from virtually everyone he has spoken to even once. If there is to be some plan put in action to save the boy, then Benedict does not see why everyone shouldn't be fully briefed in its specifics. 'Stay out of the way and let me handle it' has never sat well with him, and it especially doesn't now, after nearly eight months without answers of any kind to any questions posed.

Having a man stand in front of him and embody that refusal to share information is channeling all of Benedict's simmering anger at one convenient target.

His jaw clenches and his nostrils flare when Graves confirms that it is, indeed magic doing this — although what else it could be, Benedict doesn't know — and he puts aside the information that Credence apparently harbors talents for manipulating supernatural forces to be looked at later, not deeming it important to the current discussion.

"That's all well and good," he says with exaggerated patience, resisting the urge to roll his eyes or to turn and look at those around him to see whether or not he's the only one frustrated by all these non-answers, "but I don't see how you're going to teach him to accept himself when he's a dark cloud of destruction. I want him to be happy as much as the next person, but I am rather more concerned with the immediate safety of the rest of us at the moment. Unless everyone has been hiding secrets from the entire habble, the majority of us are not Etherialists." He pauses for a brief moment, wondering if he should explain what that means for those who wouldn't understand, and then discards that thought. Later. "How are you going to contain the cloud and return him to his regular state? If there is a plan to rescue him, we all deserve to know what it entails.

"And don't say, 'stand back and trust me.'"
