Jyn thought herself back in Jedha City at the first sounds of destruction - she heard, felt, smelled the bombs, the heady aroma of ozone after blaster fire, the screams and cries of innocent passersby, the wail of the little girl she'd scooped up and set into her mother's waiting arms. She remembered wrapping an arm around Cassian, pulling him to the ground and using her body to shield him from an explosion. She'd woken with a panicked gasp, found her bed empty and thought Cassian still missing - dreams and nightmares mingled, overlayed with reality and for a moment, she wondered if he'd died, back in Jedha City, back on Eadu, back on Scarif. It's only when she hears another series of screams and splintering structures that she's drawn out of the haze of interrupted sleep, snaps back to attention.
She'd thought to wake Cassian, who she remembered was sleeping in one of the empty beds in the other bedrooms, but thought otherwise. He'd only just re-arrived, gone through the harried, frenzied induction of the fountain. He deserved to rest, for as long as he could, for as much as he needed.
Instead, she hobbles through the door as she tugs on her second boot and makes her way towards Town Hall. She finds there's already a gathering of people there listening to the man she now knows is Graves (Mr. Graves, as Credence called him). Folding her arms across her chest, she lingers on the outskirts of the crowd, then leans towards the person closest to her, realizing she'd not gotten to hear the majority of his speech.

"I just got here; what did I miss?"
