"Mutant?" Isabelle echoes, head tipping a little. It wasn't an entirely unfamiliar term for her, of course — they'd ran across mutated demons before, especially recently with Valentine mucking things up. Demons wouldn't call themselves mutants, though, and would be very unlikely to out themselves to a Shadowhunter. She supposes warlocks and the fey could be considered mutants — human/demon hybrids and angel/demon hybrids, respectively. But it still doesn't sound quite right.

"I feel like I keep coming up with more questions and not enough answers," she says, sighing.
