Jyn has never been quite sure of whether or not she believes in the afterlife or in the idea of spirits. Her mother would so often talk about The Force as an invisible energy that bound all living things together, flowing through and around everything. She wonders if, when someone dies, they are returned to The Force, if they go back to being the energy that comprises it. She isn't sure - but she understands why Moana would believe in the idea that her grandmother is still with her.
