"Aw, c'mon, you can't think like that," Jacob insists, trying to look at this from the positive side of things, even if he doesn't really know her or have any idea what this place is like. For a moment, he's about to charge forward and keep making determined proclamations, then he realizes he's been a real rude bum and hasn't even bothered to introduce himself. Maybe the fog's seeped into his brain and stolen away all his manners or maybe he's just not feeling himself lately.
