Cougar ambles after him casually, like he hasn't just been attacked twice by the man, passing him without even sparing a look over his shoulder. If Tim attacks from behind, Cougar will have to deal with it, but looking fearful is going to do nothing for him, so he settles on the kitchen counter once he's inside, silent and waiting.

He wants to let Tim lead, mainly because whatever's happening is clearly fucking with the man and him shooting his mouth off sarcastically doesn't seem like a very good idea, but he's also not leaving.
