It could've rained further upriver, I suppose." Having been so far unsuccessful in seeing what lay beyond the canyon, it was strange to think that heavy rains were one of the few pieces of evidence that a world existed outside of their enclosed bubble.
"I guess we should count our blessings the plumbing wasn't backing up this morning." He sounded doubtful.
