Growing more and more frustrated with Cougar's obnoxious propensity to act the martyr, Jake opens his mouth with something close to a growl to tell him what an idiot he's being, but then realizes he knows a much easier way to deal with this problem.

Reaching out, he grabs a handful of Cougar's hair and yanks him closer, his other hand slipping around behind him to press to the small of his back so he can't twist away when Jake leans in and deliberately seals their lips together.
